If you have a bitch about him and his work habits.. comments towards that.. but using a statement of his, a complimentary statement to a teammate... that is weak. I guess I expect more out of two "leaders" like they claim to be.

Simply put.. it drew attention to themselves.. and that is what they really wanted.

Actually this is what I heard from Harrison upon the subject... seems very similar to Tedy. I will let his comments flow through..

"Instead of tweeting ... focus on what you can do to get on the field and make us better, make us a more complete team," Harrison  said regarding what Ochocinco should be focusing on. "And that's the way the old-school Patriots think. We felt like it was all about the team. It's not about involving the fans, becoming a distraction and being surprised at the fact that we're having success. That team has had success for a long time, and it's no surprise.

"He's been out in Cincinnati and he doesn't understand the Patriot way, and it's been months and months and months now that he's had the opportunity to jump on board," Harrison added. "I just think that Ochocinco needs to focus on less tweeting and more production."

"You gotta ball out," Harrison told Patrick. "It gives you more freedom when you're going out there and putting up numbers. But when you're inactive basically on the sidelines being a benchwarmer and you're not a part of the program and you're not producing, you should shut up.

So you hate the Patriots, that doesn't mean you should throw out labels that do not apply. Read what he said. Tedy was not being arrogant. He's right.

There is a difference between honor and pride.

You can't be proud and humble. But you can be honorable and humble.

Teddy is taking the pride thing a little to far.

Chad was honoring Brady's performance. That angered Teddy because the Patriots are not about honor, they are about pride.

It's Chad Johnson's (I refuse to call him that ridiculous name) first game in a system that differs greatly from the one he played in before. Because of the lockout, he didn't get the benefit of the full off-season to study the plays, but only training camp. I think Tedy needs to cut the guy some slack.

Brady had plenty of targets in that game. If it's the 3rd game of the season and he's still getting 1 catch for 14 yards, or if it's a game where the Patriots NEED him to step it up and he's a non-factor, then have at it.

CJ was expressing admiration for the way Brady took apart the Miami defense. Criticising him for that is like criticising Packers players for praising AR. Lighten up, Francis.

I think it's pathetic when these former players say stuff like this. It's sort of like the college freshman who comes home on break and hangs around his old high school, telling everybody how much cooler the place was when he was there. When you retire, you need to move on, unless you join the coaching staff or something.

Act like you've been there... like Barry Sanders when he scored a TD, don't be awe or slam the ball down, hand it to the referee and go sit down til its time to do it again.

One of the big problems facing our country, people confusing Pride with Honor.

To me, it is like night and day. But to a lot of people, there is little difference. In my opinion, it is because few people have a real understanding of honor, so they lump it in with pride.
