This might get moved to the "Around The NFL" forum but I think it could go here as well since most of us probably will pick the Packers, and more people seem to come to the Packers part.

Who do you think the division winners will be? Who do you think the wild card winners will be? And whom do you think with beat who in the Super Bowl?

My guesses

AFC:
North: Ravens
South: Texans
East: Patriots
West: Chargers

Wild Cards: Jets and Titans (tough to leave the Steelers out but sounds like they might be having OL problems and I've heard the last two times they made it to the Super Bowl they didn't make it to the playoffs the next year)

NFC:
North: Packers
South: Saints
East: Eagles
West: Rams

Wild Cards: Falcons and Lions (Bucs were right up there as well for me but had to leave one of them out.)

AFC East: Patriots
AFC North: Steelers
AFC South: Texans
AFC West: Chargers

Wildcards: Jets & Ravens. I'm not seeing anything unusual happening in the AFC, outside of the Colts not making it this year.

NFC East: Eagles
NFC North: Packers
NFC South: Falcons
NFC West: Rams

Wildcards: Saints & Buccaneers. Lions would be over Bucs, but Stafford will get injured again and their playoff hopes go down the drain.

Super Bowl: Falcons over Chargers

This should be in NFL.

Anyways, Patriots on paper are still the best team in the NFL. I see them folding in the Playoffs yet again and us beating someone else in the SB.

Wild Cards: Jets and Ravens. (The Ravens and Colts are 6a and 6b to me... With the Dolphins making a strong push, as well. I think they'll end up just short.)

NFC:

East: Eagles
West: Rams

Wild Cards: Falcons and Giants. (I like the Bucs better than the Giants, but with both the Falcons and Sants looking better than them in their division, it's hard to see them win in that wild card race.)

The issue I have with the Titans is that they are a Running team, which was only enough to get them 6 wins last year. CJ had a big hold out and you know what happens to guys that hold out. Injuries. I doubt they changed enough to merit having a winning record, much less a playoff spot.

I have the exact same issue with Houston. Great running doesn't equate to wins. Neither team has anything else. I think that the first team to 8 wins takes the AFC south. Either Jacksonville or Indy. I will go with better coaching in Indy. Even without Manning, the Colts are better than Tennessee, Houston and Jacksonville.

I would give that WC spot to the Steelers.

The Colts are not a better team than Houston without Manning. That's hilarious. Houston is the most talented team in that division, they have just yet to put it together. I believe the pieces they added (CB Joseph, S Manning, JJ Watt, Brooks Reed) along with what they already have (Schaub, Johnson, Foster, decent defense)will make this their season to lose. I can't imagine them winning any less than 9-10 games this season, given the likelihood of Manning being out for the season, or at least not very effective even if he does come back.

Houston has nothing else other than a running game? I think Schaub and Johnson would have something to say about that. They have one of the better passing games in the league as well, even without a running game. I expect TE Owen Daniels to come back pretty strong this season as well. Their defense should finally be able to get off the field on third downs every once and awhile also.

Jacksonville will not be winning that division without Garrard unless some very crazy things happen. Is it possible? Sure. I suppose anything is often possible. However, with Garrard, they'll be lucky to finish 2-3 in that division. It is undoubtedly Houston's division to lose. They'd have to mess up pretty badly or be decimated by injuries to not win.

They don't just have to improve a little. They have to go from allowing opposing QBs over a 100 rating on average to something close to the leaders. Last years super bowl winner had a 67. That would be like taking Derek Anderson That was locked out for most of it.

I don't think you can make that pass D a league leader over this off season.

Unless they completely transplanted their pass D, I would not expect them to win half their games.

If Foster's hamstring injury becomes a chronic issue, I don't see them winning that much. Sounds like he may miss their opener. Then I would give the game to the Colts.

The Texans picked up FA starters CB Johnathan Joseph and FS Danieal Manning in FA... as well as drafting CB Brandon Harris (2nd) and Roc Carmichael (4th) that should help their pass D.

Also they switched to the 3-4 and their starting LBers look great, though I'm surprised Mario Williams is at OLB and not DE... but I haven't watched him enough to say where I think he should be.
