I would love to have Taiwan Jones. Like Nerdmann, I wanted GB to draft him.

But even if you could get Ted Thompson to offer Flynn in a trade (ha!), no way Al Davis is going to give up on that kind of speed after three weeks.

Three weeks during which Jones has looked pretty darn good.

Not a chance.

My chances of getting Jessica Biel to buy me a gourmet dinner followed by a shared weekend in a Vegas penthouse are bigger.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Flynn is very overrated IMO.

First reading the topic.. thinking it was Al Harris. Thinking.. we have the most depth in the secondary now than in years.

IMO.. Flynn will be moved if they can get value in return.. just not sure that value will offset the return in a compensatory pick if he walks.

That value would have to offset the level of insurance he offers the Packers in addition to the compensatory values.

Now working in a Flynn trade is the addition roster space the Packers would gain in moving Flynn. And honestly.. if Rodgers goes down for an extended period with how we as a team are built (Complementary running team) could either Flynn or Harrell carry the team?

Harrell has my confidence if he becomes #2.. but I have little issue with Flynn being kept.

Now if the Packers pass up value to keep Flynn and he walks in Free Agency.. that would be open to criticism.

The Raiders just used a 3rd round draft choice to select Terrelle Pryor in the Supplemental Draft. So I don't think they'll trade for a QB this season.

This article says he was drafted to play QB, but who knows? He ran a quick 40 time and maybe he can continue that speed on the field with pads.

This is true but consider this- the teams that need Matt are not going anywhere this year. Bringing Matt in gives them all of this year PLUS TC next year to groom him for the 2012 season. he would be miles ahead of where he would be if they wait to pick him up off the street in the winter/spring of 2012.
The trade of course would be contingent upon Matt signing a new contract with his new team.
