Raji had 12 tackles this year.

12.

let that sink in.

tackles, sacks

2009: 19, 1 (was rotational DE at that point)
2010: 39, 6.5 (super bowl year)
2011: 14, 3
2012: 16, 0
2013: 12, 0

the fatty just quit after he got his ring and State Farm ad.

Even with a 3-4 formation that wants the DL to occupy the OL and let the LB make the plays you would think he can get a measly 2 tackles a game just by falling down in front of the RB and tripping him up. That would be a min of 32 tackles a year.

Put another way, this last year BJ Raji only had 8 more tackles than Tim Fucking Masthay.

Seriously though, what in the name of all that is holy happened? How do you become such a relentlessly lazy piece of shit in such a short time?

TBH and I may be misremembering things, it seemed to me that Raji was playing a lot better earlier this year and seemed to be buying into the system of Capers (lineman eating up blocks). In retrospect, any jump in play was probably him not wanting to look bad next to Jolly, a guy who just spent the past three years in prison. Once Rodgers went down, the losses started adding up and loss money from reductions in the flashy stats by playing in Capers system, I think he just checked out mentally.

In rush defense early nobody was running up the middle on Jolly,Pickett,Raji, most of the runs that gained yards went outside. After Matthews went out, it looked like offenses where just using our big bodies in the middle to make a road block. they would pull their G out, and use their tackle to block to the middle on each side and end up with 1100lbs of obstacles in the middle and just ran to either side of it and having lead blockers to get to our LBers

I don't know what you guys think you were seeing, but even early on, teams ran on us, especially up the middle, and Raji in particular was visibly worthless. The change in teams running even more on us came when Rodgers went down, and there was less pressure on opponents to play catch up/score quicker with passes.

Teams were passing (21st over same period) because they knew Aaron Rodgers was going to put up points. When he went down, teams lost their urgency to take risks with the passing game and decided to run against the Packers, essentially daring the Packers to throw.

Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
