I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers, but generally these stats contain a lot of garbage. For example, if the QB gets pressure and throws the ball away out of bounds, they count the nearest receiver as the "target." Thus, the WRs get a lot more of these than the TEs, who tend to work the middle of the field.

I watched the games, and I did think Rodgers was forcing it to Finley too much. My own theory is that the O-line was struggling and Rodgers had to get rid of the ball more quickly, which often meant throwing it toward Finley and hoping he could come down with it because of his size.

I too watched the games and I think that the "forcing it to Finley" mentality is blown out of proportion because of the interception thrown into triple coverage against the Eagles. After the Eagles game in week 1 there weren't really any ill advised throws to Finley. Almost every throw to him after that game was completed for a big gain. Even though it may have been a problem in week 1 and maybe week 2 it was something that was seemingly corrected at least by week 4. It wasn't this huge problem that everyone is making it out to be.

I mentioned this after seeing Bishop play a few games, but for some reason, I felt the Packers defense was more tough with Bishop in there than Barnett. I don't know how one guy can make that much of a difference, but its just how I felt.

Zombo started week 3, 4 and 8 through 15 (played weeks 1 though 15) and I think he's tougher, more physical and better than the other OLBers (not named Matthews of course).

And to top it all off... it's overlooked but Raji did improve as the year went on. Not saying he was bad to start with but he seemed to get better and better.

(Edit: Burnett was clearly more aggressive and better in cover than Peprah... but Peprah was clearly more aggressive and better in attacking ball carriers and not letting them get any extra yards)

Still, the offense seemed out of balance to me, especially because Jennings wasn't getting enough chances. I think that several of the throws to him were throwaways because the O-line didn't give him enough time to get open. I do think that if Finley had stayed healthy, the offense would've come back into balance as the season wore on.

I chose Finley. The addition of him back into Green Bay's passing game is going to be great, especially if James Jones is gone. Hopefully he can stay healthy for an entire season. Ryan Grant would be my second choice...everyone missed him last season and then stopped missing him when James Starks had a few good games. He will come back and have a different impact on the offense as well.

With both of these players returning, Packers offense just gets so much better and scary.

beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
