Okay, as people might guess from my previous new thread, I'm kinda trying to avoid work at the moment. So I'm surfing a bit, in search of interesting news in the world of sport and otherwise.

Instead, what do I find out there. A bunch of shit that can only be labelled "who gives a flying fuck?" Stuff like:

1. Roger Clemens' trial. (CNNSI)
2. The Tour of Amphibians and its quest for a yellow shirt.(CNNSI)
3. People finding Jay Leno jokes about Casey Anthony unfunny. (CNN)
4. Casey Anthony.
5. Jay Leno.
6. What Brad Pitt thinks about marriage. (MSNBC)
7. Brad Pitt.
8. Anyone Brad Pitt cares about.
9. Bathroom stage fright. (MSNBC)
10. The Senate Gives Up July 4 for vote on millionaires (FoxNews).

Talk about a waste of an hour. I would have been better off spending time trolling for Jezebelle Bond and Deborah Wells videos.*

*Not that I know who they are, of course.

When I was a teenager I stopped watching news because it depressed me. Everything was always negative. This person shot that person over a Pepsi. This person killed that person drinking and driving. And so on ... then the good stories got a brief mention. It ended up just pissing me off, so I stopped. The only news I watch now is the sports show AFTER the news has concluded.

The only newsy thing I do is check CNN.com everyday. That's just so I can try to pretend to be on top of current 'events'.

If you have any common sense and an ability to understand how things really work, you can figure out what the facts really are. Those who believe everything they hear on TV become "informed voters" like DakotaT.

Of course one can apply their political bias to everything in life, allow it to cloud reality but label it truth.. then become bitter and numb with life and feel the need to lash out randomly to any opposing view.

Of course everyone has some sort of bias and framework of how they see life and society.. so where does the truth actually lie?

In reality is it fact, fiction or viewpoint? Did your fact finding and common sense applying come from an unbiased approach or has it been tainted?

Sometime I wish I could become so convicted to one view, apply that to everything I come across with those filters and quickly label it... accept it without recourse and judge from that said perch.

Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : uh oh
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : Too bad camera's can't spot the ball as well.
Mucky Tundra (1-Apr) : So will the chain gang be gone completely or will they still be around as a backup or whatever?
