Dorsey Levens had a severe right ankle sprain, which resulted in a high fibula fracture.

You mean one-year-wonder-Levens?

Exactly.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - don't get attached to RBs. Most disposable position in the NFL. They last 3 to 4 years on average.

As long as we have someone who is decent, we'll be fine. Huge props to Edgar Bennett because he could BLOCK, which is the most important function of a RB anyways.

I do think that this year's SB win, we'll have 20+ rushes though because this time, our WRs will actually catch the damn ball and we'll take an early lead and cruise. Be sure to copy and save that Vikesrule draft thread because some of those guys he made fun of will contribute in our SB win this year.

And if Grant is anywhere near 100%, Starks will be #2 behind him. Grant is a top 10 RB. Anyone who says otherwise is stupid. I'm not even going to be nice about it any more because I'm sick of saying it.

So thinking Grant is better than the 3rd FB is misplaced fan loyalty?

Nice job setting up a strawman and knocking it down. Try actually reading my argument before refuting something I didn't say, please.

If they get and stay healthy, I think Grant, Finley and Rodgers will make the roster and do just fine.

While no doubt true, this has nothing to do with my argument.

I did read your argument. You dislike it when people use an assumption (that might not be correct) to dismiss other possibilities.

Kinda like your assumption I didn't read your argument :thumbleft:

No doubt Grant makes the team, if he struggles throughout the beginning of the year he could be cut or traded before the deadline. I wish him the best results mainly to save some time for the 2 young backs to get caught up and up to speed without a real offseason. If anyone is the odd man out it's Jackson, but I think it truly comes down to how the other backs pickup the blocking scheme.

On this pass first TE lovin team I would be suprised to see Grant get cut or traded if he doesnt look 100% before week one. RB's are throw aways in todays NFL. Ted Thompson drafted two more TE's D.J. Williams being called an H back I can easilly see going thin again at RB and gambling again in the back field. It didnt exactly derail the program, losing grant btw.

I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to the OP who hates Grant for some strange reason.

The big IF with Grant is how close to 100% he will be when he returns. If he's anywhere close, Starks is #2.

Only chance Grant has of being cut is if he is re-injured and they expect him to miss the entire year, and have no plans of re-signing him. - This is a MASSIVE if. If he takes a while to recover from his injury, he will end up on PUP at worst.

I dont think it is unlikely that Starks will be the day one starter, however, it will be due to Grant not being 100% or integrated fully back into the lineup. A shortened/no training camp could mean Starks picks up right where he left off.
