The Cowpokes are letting him test the free agent market.

How would he look lined up across from Matthews?

he's no better than Zombo

mainly because he's a DE and not an OLB

They're letting him test the waters for a reason. The last two years he hasn't been that good. Ever since they lost Canty, who probably made him look good anyway. When talking Cowboys DL, I'd much rather have Stephen Bowen who ate into his snaps late into the season. He's a FA too.

I remember there was an article (I think by Andrew Brandt) that said the Packers liked both DeMarcus Ware and Marcus Spears in the 2005 draft. Once Dallas had picked both guys, Ted decided to pull the trigger on Aaron Rodgers.

Doubt we'd be too interested in him now, unless he came at a decent price.

I don't see him as a need. I really like Pickett/Raji/Green-Neal.

Yeah and he's 50 pounds too heavy to play that position and was a DE in a 3-4 in Dallas. The two positions are about as interchangeable as DT and FS. Hell, 50 pounds would be the bare minimum he'd have to drop. He's 70 pounds heavier than James Harrison.

Ok. fine. I don't think he would make a very good OLB. Like Keys says he is too heavy and most likely too slow. It doesn't even begin to make sense to line him up at OLB.
Many fans are screaming for more sacks from the OLB position and yet Marcus has 8 sacks in 6 seasons. He can't get to the QB on a consistent basis. His production has slid over the past 3 years. And after a career best Soph season, it has been more or less down hill since then.

I guess we should put Johnny Jolly at 3-4 OLB too then.

Oh, crap! I thought he was an OLB. I didn't realize he was that big. NVM... bad idea. I'm an idiot.
