It seems like WR coach is generally higher ranking than RB coach, so this could be viewed as a promotion for Bennett. Why would it be higher ranking? I'm guessing because it is just a bigger, more complicated job than RB coach.

I like what others have said here about Bennett maybe being able to do something about ball security for the receivers. If he can do that, this will look like a genius move.

The best comments I read at PFT were about ... maybe it was JSOnline? I dunno, anyhow I get those goofed up ... they were saying a RB teaching WR's? Basically, its stupid. What's that say about coaches who've never played any position before?

RB's have to run routes and catch too. And if I recall Edgar was a fine receiving back out of the backfield.

Seems to me that EB has the ability to reach players. I think they're grooming him. Future OC. Maybe be a HC someday.

I was stunned that Edgar has been with the coaching staff for 7 years. It doesn't seem like it has been that long.
As was mentioned this is a good move for him. The more positions he coaches at the better his resume.
