Darren Perry to Eagles?

An article over at PFT suggests that the Iggles are interested in Darren Perry as DC, and that the deal may already be done with MM's approval. Would be sad to see him go, but hell, that is what happens to successful teams.

I think it is a year or two early for Perry.. heck of a coach even back as his days as a player.. but might need a bit more seasoning.

I would bet more on Mike Trgovac to Denver than Perry to Philly.. or maybe we lose both.

Let the rape and pillaging begin. I thought I read once that Trgovac preferred GB because of the family atmosphere for his children still in school. Nothing we can do about it if these coaches want advancement. It selfish to try and hold them back.

Side effect of a winning team. Hopefully we win one more this season and they decide to stick around. Trgo sounded like the career move to GB was a huge deal for his family, so I don't think he takes these things lightly. He really is concerned about the stability of his family, which is rare in the NFL as it is admirable. Perry, younger guy. Great player. Done a good job in his short time here. Basically a Capers pupil, and we can see how effective Capers has been the last two years. Perry leaving wouldn't surprise me, but I hope it ain't true!

Can't we bar any of our under contract assistants from leaving as long as they're not taking a head coach position? I thought there was a rule similar to this. Not that we'd stop Perry.
