Wow, people worry about the most trivial of things (yes, I know I do too). It seemed obvious to me even before I got to the article dfosterf posted that the primary reason for this was the sheer number of players on the IR -- and that turned out to be the exact phrase the team rep used.
There are 53 players on the active roster. Add the 15 on IR and that brings it up to 69. Just how many people can you put in a photo before they become an indistinguishable blur?
No to mention, no matter how much you may love Finley, Grant, Barnett,
et al., their role in the Super Bowl run was negligible. If anything, the team got
better after they went down. It's the players who stepped in and elevated this team to greatness who deserve to shine in the team photo, not the players who are collecting full game checks for watching on the sidelines.
This is a non-issue as far as I am concerned.
