Hey all. I'm back for a bit anyhow. Who'd have ever thunk this one eh? Not posting to troll or incite but just to say WOW - Steelers vs Packers in the Super Bowl!!!

This will be one for the ages in any number of respects. TV audience should be out of this universe given all the Steeler and Packer fanbase worldwide

Already the talk is your receivers will have some kind of advantage on the artificial turf. What's up with that?

Anyhow, feel free to hit me up or move to smacktalk if necessary.

Good luck in Dallas ... but not too much!

You're lucky that you don't have to deal with Bear fans...they're so disrespectful it's not funny.

Anyway, here's to a good 2 weeks of straight up football talk, then it's gametime come Feb. 6.

Packers and Steelers won't talk smack because they are both smart enough to know that both teams are very tough, so it's all about respect instead of talking down to the opponent. It's kind of like a few years back when we met the Vikings in the playoffs. All of the smack talk that is usually there stopped, and it was mutual respect and fear that took over while we all waited for the game.

Also, I can't think of many AFC/NFC teams that smack talk each other, as they meet very seldom.

The thing about our WRs is that we got 4 guys who could be legit #1's in this league. Finley's out and Quarless is a rookie or we'd have 6. Nobody can cover all these guys. Our # 5 WR is Swain. He's no slouch either. Barely ever gets the ball though. Special teamer.
Got a running game now too, btw.

Still a lot of familiar faces around. Nice to see you all again. I agree with a post elsehwere - Even if I weren't a Steeler fan I'd rather see them in the game than listen to Jet's bragging/swearing for 2 weeks (and that's not even the fans!)

This is gonna be good!!

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious

beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
