Weird stat I didn't realize. The last six teams to win the SB wore their white away jerseys. The last time a team wearing their home jersey won the SB was NE-CAR, bizarre.

I hope that changes tomorrow.

You've found it--the key to the game! Does anybody know Mike McCarthy's cell phone number? Is it too late for him to change his mind?

They won't come up short though. Haven't you picked every single game right this post-season?

This quote by McCarthy the other day got me SO jacked up.

We respect Pittsburgh, but we feel that this is our time and Sunday will be our night.

Hell yes. HELL YES! GO TAKE IT!!!

As was already stated, i think the only way we lose is if we kill our own drives with mistakes.
Another fear i have is this: Mike McCarthy getting a lead, and then letting off on the gas, allowing the Steelers to stick around.
I HOPE that when we get a lead, he puts his foot on their collective throats, and doesn't let up until the game is not in doubt.

"Cheesey" wrote:

Quick thought: the two INTs against the Bears weren't the result of letting off the gas. One was kinda flukey (a bad pass nonetheless) and the other was a rare Rodgers boneheaded throw. That game could have very well seen a three or four score lead. It's easy to pin the "letting off the gas" on McCarthy but the reality is we can't beat ourselves.

The Steelers defense is for real. But so is our defense. So it comes down to which QB is going to make more mistakes. My bet is that Big Ben won't handle the heat and Rodgers and Co. will make enough plays.

GO PACK GO!
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

JMHO, Pittsburgh has Mike Wallace, they will be sending him deep several times tonight, other teams had problems covering him.

The Packers have Sam Shields, me thinks he can match Wallace down the field, I look for Sam to be locked onto Wallace all night long, I also think he will shut him down.

Of all the match-ups that have been talked about, IMHO this is the most important.

Packers 30 - Steelers 16.......BOOK IT!!!!

Everything I have read so far says the Williams will be covering Wallace. Shields has the speed but Williams is a better cover corner. It will be ineteresting to see which way they go.

Of course it will be Williams--most of the time anyway. As you say, he is better than Shields. It's a football game, not a track meet.

Packers inactives: Harrell (3rd QB), Nance, Underwood, Gordy, Johnson, Dietrich-Smith, McDonald and Walden. Zombo starts for Walden.

No Walden. :-\

Pack clearly plans to spread em out, they clearly have no intention of running as evidenced by the fact that their best run blocking FB is inactive in QJ.

I'm surprised that Quinn Johnson is an inactive, but you are right: It means that they are going to spread 'em out. Good point.

I had already accepted the fact that Walden would be unlikely to play. Hopefully Zombo is 100%. After him, they would probably go to Francois.
