I think either Tramon, Sam, Nick, or Charles will get a pic 6 in this game.

I don't think Pittsburgh's Defense will be able to handle GB 4 & 5 WR sets.

I think Aaron Rodgers is going to have a monster game, and throw for at least 2 TD's and 350 yards.

GB will sack Big Ben @ least three times.

GB 27 Pittsburgh 17

Heard today that the Steelers struggle against the spread offense.

What do we call our five set? 😉

I noticed with watching alot of the Steelers this year (not by choice but it's the local team) that they struggle against a spread offense. They played the Saints and Pats both games they lost and they played the Bills that does spread it out but needs a qb and they eeked that out in OT after Stevie dropped the game winner in the end zone. So I really like our chances with passing the ball.

Now our defense struggles against the run which the Steelers are starting to do alot of. But we might get lucky and their starting center (High ankle sprains usually require three to four weeks to recover. But Pouncey, 21, seems virtually certain he can rehab it in half the time.) Might be out and their O-line really isn't that good at protecting Ben.

I think it should be a close game 20-17 Packers. :)

I know we give up some yards against the run but during the regular season I found that we played 7 teams in the top ten in rushing and were 6-1 with the only loss to NE.

So while the Steelers pretty much beat the Jets with their run game in the first half the Packers have not let anybody hurt them by scoring a lot of points as a result of the run game. We seem to allow some RB's to get fairly decent numbers at times but they really didn't do much damage to us or get it in the endzone.

The Jets figured out what they needed to do to shutdown the run in the second half so Capers just needs to do it right from the start. If the Jets run D showed up in the 1st half anywhere near like they did later they would have won that game.

I think this game played in a dome is the Packers to lose. They should have enough fire power to beat the Steelers. I don't see with this D, our pass rush, and the defensive backfield we have letting this get to be a game like we saw against them last year.

Ugh, what a terrible memory.

With the way Big Ben runs around and tries to make something happen in the air, I think Packers secondary gets at least 2 picks.

Defense might have a few hiccups. They did against the Bears and will against a better team in the Steelers.

Rodgers can have the game of his life playing against a team that struggles with the spread offense. Possibly 2-3 touchdowns passing, maybe 1 rushing.

Starks can still play a role in this game. Shonne Greene was able to break a few big runs in the game against the Steelers, Starks will help the offense.

Packers will win 28-17.

Anyway, this one does look to be shaping up to be a close game. I just hope that Rodgers survives this game. If there's one thing I'm envious of from another team, it's the Pittsburgh LBers. Having James Harrison on one side and LaMarr Woodley on the other is about as good as a tandem as you'll ever see. Then you have a guy like Timmons who can get to the QB from the ILB position and the veteran Farrior, who's no stranger to sacks either. That LBing group is absolutely amazing.

Then again, we have Raji going up against, I asume, Legursky with Pouncey out. Cullen Jenkins, one of the most underrated 3-4 DEs next to him. Ryan Pickett on the other side who can eat some blocks. That's a 3 man D-line that should absorb about 5 blocks just by themselves. Then you have Matthews coming off the edge.

Offensive lines might just win this game. The irony is, of course, that both units as a whole haven't been exactly spectacular.

nice analysis rock ... I do agree that pitt has some nice LBers ... and I do agree that we have the better DE/NTs ...

I sort of like the fact we will have a nwe guy like walden (perhaps) playing the right side. He knows if he busts his butt here he will get a nice tract come the summer ...

We have the better secondary thou 😉
I have a feeling we will eat up pitt with the air attack and pitts wont know what to do about it.

After our offensive outting against the Bears, I really think that we are going to have a huge offensive day. I think that we will give up something like 100 yds on the ground to Mendenhall, butt I don't see him getting any TD's. Ben will have 2 TDs, with one INT to Williams and one INT to Woodson, who is going to play huge in this game. The announcers won't know who to talk about more on defense, Polamalu or Woodson, who will both be flying all over the field and coming out of nowhere.

34-23 Packers

It will come down to who plays defense better and who holds onto the ball longer.

Mucky Tundra (6-Jul) : Jerome Bettis and Jim Flanigans sons as well!
Zero2Cool (6-Jul) : Thomas Davis Jr is OLB, not WR. Oops.
Zero2Cool (6-Jul) : Larry Fitzgeral and Thomas Davis sons too. WR's as well.
Mucky Tundra (5-Jul) : Kaydon Finley, son of Jermichael Finley, commits to Notre Dame
dfosterf (3-Jul) : Make sure to send my props to him! A plus move!
Zero2Cool (3-Jul) : My cousin, yes.
dfosterf (3-Jul) : That was your brother the GB press gazette referenced with the red cross draft props thing, yes?

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
