Lol, my friend was just telling me how pissed he was at that celebration. I just thought, fuck him, the only belt he'll be wearing is the safety belt on the bus back home. Have fun watching us next week.

The belt thing is kind of dorky any way. Abraham can have the belt. I want to see the ring.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

I think the belt is funny. I was doing that all the time when I was a kid. We played Battle Royale and Royal Rumble in my back yard. Rodgers is about two months younger than me, so I can all but guarantee you he was probably doing the same thing. Yeah, it's stupid. And that's fine, because it's never been meant to be taken seriously. It's fun!

If that's all that John Abraham's done wrong, he must be a pretty good guy. He was just trying to rev up a crowd that was badly in need of revving up. It was their only hope at that point.

Plus, if bozz did the belt celebration, we know it's cool.

Agreed.. it is all part of the game if you are going to accept any player doing it.

Personally I think some of that is nonsense over a routine play.. but if it is a big play go for it.

The only thing that annoyed me about the celebrations was that they were still going on when the Falcons were already down by 14. Get in the lead -- or at least within one score -- before you do all the silly celebrations, particularly on routine plays.

I noticed the same thing on the Steelers defense when they were down 14. I thought it was silly there too. Of course, they came back to win the game, so I guess they put their money where their mouth was.

I'm sure the players will say that they do those celebrations when they're behind because it pumps up their teammates and the fans. Whatever. It's all pretty silly to me, but it doesn't bother me.

By the way, did anyone else notice that Tramon almost got Leon Letted on his interception return? If the field was one or two yards longer, that might have been ugly. I doubt that he meant to cut it that close.

Not to be picky, but during the live play, I didn't like him turning back and slowing down.

I really like the belt celebration, I enjoy the fact that our star QB has a signature celebration and it seems to help get/keep him fired up during games. I hope it shows up in Madden someday 🙂
