i have very few true, dear friends that i love with all my heart.
one of them was killed last night snowmobiling in wisconsin. he was my best guy friend & stood by me through the divorce when i really needed him even though he & my ex were friends.
he owned his own trucking company so if i was freaking out at 3am, i knew i could always call & talk to him cuz he was on the road.
i seriously don't know what i'm gonna do without him.

Lost 9 of my closest friends to drugs, alcohol, cancer, murder, suicide and auto/motorcycle accidents....I cam empathize. Life will move on, and after you have allowed yourself some time to grieve, you must be present for those who love you, and whom you love, in the living realm. Do not sacrifice a day not being "present"....your friend would wish nothing less.

i sit here laughing thru tears at some of the crazy stuff we used to do.
we had some awesome freakin times in our younger days.
i feel perfectly comfortable telling you he was a true 'man whore' who got laid more than charlie sheen on a slow night. seriously.
i was his 'wing girl' many nights back in the day, if you know what i mean. later on, he became a great dad to 2 girls & a boy.
he loved his harley, his cowboys (yuck), his snowmobile, & his girlfriend. he was the true definition of a loyal friend.

There are only 2 things that suck in life - bad health, and death of a loved one. Everything else is replaceable.

Loved ones mean everything to me Julie. I can empathize with you. There's nothing in the world like having someone you can be emotionally intimate with that won't judge you. There's nothing like a true friend.

Benjamin Franklin said something along the lines of if you have one real friend in life, you are blessed. If you have 3, that's very rare.
