It sure looked that way to me. He fumbled the ball as he was trying to tuck it. Thoughts?

Dan Needles and Drew Olsen? I don't know their names, but they're talking about that on the radio. They said it should have been the tuck rule. Someone told Jason Wilde to ask Charles Woodson, haha.

Maybe if Rodgers had spray painted the green on his jersey blue and red. Or any other color. He's possibly the least protected star QB in the NFL.

I disagree.. it should not have been covered via the tuck rule, even though that rule is bullshit. lol.

Per the rule, it is only covered while the QB is tucking it back in from a passing motion.. once he has regained control normal rules apply.. if the ball comes out it is a fumble.

So it comes down to defining when the QB has re-established a normal carrying motion.. in this case Rodgers gets the ball in more of a carrying motion than trying to.

Another judgment call with too much gray in it.

I prefer it simpler.. if that arm is going forward in a passing motion, incomplete.. it it is not.. fumble.

Rodgers? He's played in two playoff games, lol. He missed Greg Jennings in over time. That was choking? Or was it choking that he failed to notice the man ready to blitz on the ride side that pressured him into fumbling?

I was thinking the same thing while watching the game, but from the replays I saw, it looked as if the ball was already tucked away when the defender got his hand in there to knock it out.

100%, no 110% agree. I hate all the judgment gray area shenanigans in the rules. IF passer is throwing the ball forward and its knocked out in that motion, incomplete. I'd think everything else is a fumble. Why not give RB's or WR's a tuck rule too?

I was wondering that also but when I saw the replay you see the ball come out when he starts to run. The tv didn't really show a great replay of it maybe someone can find it. But like I said at first I thought of the tuck rule but then it seems like he starts to run then loses it.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

His name isn't Brett Favre, so he's the devil. That is until we win the Super Bowl, then we tuck Brett away FOREVER.
