And the Democrats have served us well, NSD? Listen, I have massive contempt for both parties as they have BOTH lost their bearings, and sight of whom they serve. But for anyone to believe this mess is one party's fault is completely naive to the realities....and history. I hold my nose and vote Republican because I find them much less dangerous than Dems...especially where world affairs are concerned. Simple as that....but I trust neither.

Why is Barry distancing himself from Dems? Because their party is run by the extrems of the wing and does not represent the majority of American's views on what it needed, and where we want the country to go.

Digs - I can't speak for NSD, but I'm pretty sure he feels the same way I do about the Republicans and Democrats, or at least something similar.

The choice between those 2 parties is like choosing your mate between these two hot sexy women:

I wish somehow all the political party system in this country was erased, and we were forced to rebuild it fresh.

Because neither party with their never ending roots dug into "big" money is serving anyone other than "big" money. They all put in these campaigns to suck in votes on appearance only.

Rep or Dem.. seriously neither is in it for the citizen. Neither, they flirt with the line just enough to get re-elected.. other than that.. they are in it for themselves and the coin that drives DC.

Two ways to solve those problems - one is term limits so you get rid of the career politician. The other is limit funding, so corporations can't give that much more money than the average Joe or Jane American. Limit it to something like $100. Makes us equal to corporations and lobbies.

This thread is just another nail in the coffin for my once heated interest in politics.

Cheesey, you forgot to include the word "Socialist" in your post. Shame on you.

I could have bet money on your response, and i would have been dead on.
Please, explain to me where what i wrote was wrong in any way?
You know.....instead of just throwing out the old "There goes that conservative Cheesey again" response that you always use.
But that is the same kind of response i got from my friends that are more liberal then i am. They also never face the things i say with any REAL response, they just say condescending remarks also.
So i shouldn't be surprised i guess.
America kicked out the democrats in HUGE numbers. Does that NOT show you anything as far as what the majority of American citizens feel about the "change" or direction the Democratic party is trying to take the country?
I think it shows quite a bit.
But if you choose to ignore it, that's ok with me!
It just means that the dems will keep going the way they are going, ignoring what happened, and allow the republicans to regain control.
They might not be much better then the dems, but they are at least better in my view.
