I guess I don't pay enough attention to the announcers. I have no favorite or least favorite, I spend more time watching the game and kicking people from the chat.

However, as you said, the chat room is my substitute for the announcers, so I often have the feeds muted anyway just to keep me from being distracted from the room.
If people really want to have the feel of the game without the annoying announcers, perhaps they could pipe some soccer-stadium noise into the room while they watch the game.
