Someone mentioned that the Eagles will have played 3 games in like 12 days by the time game starts next week.

That is a pretty heavy toll on a team.

Three games in 13 days. And is that really that much worse than playing three games in 15 days? And if you go back one more week, they will have played four games in 22 days--just like everybody else. What is it about the 13 day number that makes it significant? I think too much is made of these things sometimes.

And by the way, the Eagles rested their starters today anyway, and will be playing at home next week.

Yes Greg because prior to that first game, I believe they had an extra two days of rest prior to playing. Not a big concern if I were an Eagles fan.

Walden was excellent today as was Hawk.
Everyone at the bar that my wife and I went to was calling Walden "Taco Bell" because he is a street free agent maybe making tacos while waiting for a call.
I thought it was hilarious!

So my question with Walden, Zombo, Jones... all these guys have some real moments of excellent play. Do we need that bookend stud like the Steelers have in Woodley and Harrison; or are we all right because we have a more stout front three?

I was highly impressed with him tonight, and yes, we are really going to need those OLBs next week to be alert, fast and making quick decisions. Vick is a large threat to us but if we can keep him in the pocket and bring some heat with 3-5 guys on some fancy blitzes he will have problems!

I thought Jones did basically zilch this season before he got hurt. The one hit on Favre is all I remember, and that's the play that ended Jones' season, not Favre's. Zombo was very solid with some good moments. And Walden has made a big splash in limited time. So far Walden looks like easily the best of the three. He looks more athletic than Zombo.

I still hope they bring in a stud OLB next year, though. It's still way too early to tell about Walden. Sometimes a player looks really good right out of the gate, then disappears. And Zombo and Jones may have already come close to maxing out their potential. Walden--maybe not. Remember: James Harrison was undrafted. It can happen.

Your memory is fading like mine, Brad Jones played the entire game.

End of Fourth Quarter
(:48) (Shotgun) 4-B.Favre pass short left to 28-A.Peterson to GB 20 for 15 yards (59-B.Jones).

I thought he had re-injured the shoulder on the hit on Favre, but yeah, I think I'm wrong about that. And I'm being too harsh on him. He played pretty well in that game.

He had a heck of a game. Part of the reason may have been because the Bears didn't respect him and doubled other players (CM3) more often.

Which is exactly why we need a true blue threat opposite of CM3! Imagine if we could get a consistent pass rush from both sides, who do you double? Pick your poison! :)

That said alot of these young guys have shown they can fill out the roster and be EXTREMELY serviceable to our team, can't believe the depth we still have at this point haha.
