All the talent in the world doesn't mean shit if you can't hold onto the ball in key moments.

No matter what, I want our wide receivers coach gone at the end of the season. Except for a few exceptional moments, the play of our WRs has been devoid of inspiration and passion the entire season.

That may be true, but I wonder if we can do something about that without getting rid of our WR coach.

He's groomed Jennings, and done a decent job with Jones and Nelson (albeit Jones inconsistency is infuriating at times). But to develop three young receivers as not only pass-catchers but also adequate blockers and developing every one of our receivers to be versatile enough to play outside or in the slot.

Obviously I'm a fan of WR coach Jimmy Robinson and would prefer not to see him go.

I made a similar comment during the noon game, wpr. It seems like the trend among wide receivers around the league is to give up on routes and scream for flags, instead of laying out for passes and then hopefully getting the flags tagged onto the gain.

Regardless of whether our receivers are any worse than the rest of the league, that doesn't mean I am happy to see it from our guys.

Bring Driver back as no more than a 4th receiving option. I'm getting increasingly disillusioned with Jones. All the talent in the world doesn't mean shit if you can't hold onto the ball in key moments.

I can't remember ever seeing a group of WRs so disinclined to lay out for even slightly challenging passes; they seem more content to give up on routes and beg for penalties. And the drops are just getting obnoxious.

We need to bring in someone to light a fire under the asses of our wide receiving corps.

Yeah, Driver needs 83 yards, and I bet he will figure into the game plan enough to have a shot at it against the Bears. If I had to put money on it, I would say he gets it.

Jones has a flaw in his game, which is dropping too many passes, but he is still a very good receiver who is just now entering his prime. I'd like to see him starting opposite Jennings next year. He is now the #2 guy in all but name anyway.

About once a year I see someone take a cheap shot on Donald and he comes storming back.

These young bucks think they are tougher than Driver because they strut around and talk trash all the time. they look at him and think he is old so they think they can bully Driver. They have no idea how tough he really is.

Driver or Jones next season? That's an easy one for me. Jones.

It's obvious that Driver's on the decline, like you would expect from a 35 year old WR.

Jones, on the other hand, is having his best season in the NFL up to date. He's outgaining Driver in every statistical category, although Driver did miss nearly two games.

Want the 26 year old on the rise, who's cheaper and outplaying everyone but Jennings or the 35 year old who's having his worst season since 2001....

I'd love to see the snap count for both. I think it's roughly the same.

Add to the list -

S coach Darren Perry - Our Ss drop too many interceptions.

CB coach Joe Whitt Jr. - Our CBs drop too many interceptions.

OLB coach Kevin Greene - Not enough sacks out of the OLBs opposite of Matthews.

TE coach Ben McAdoo - Just 34 catches from the TE position since Finley went down. That's too little. Quarless doesn't run crisp routes or has great hands, either.

NSD... We have 4 WRs over 500 yards. 4 WRs with over 40 catches. That's an amazing feat. Even more so if you think about the fact that we've never drafted a WO in the 1st round. We always went for the projects that had some kind of flaw. I've seen everyone shore up on the hands problem, apart from Jones, for who it might just be something that isn't fixable.

Jones' drops can get frustrating, but he definitely makes up for it most of the time. One play he'll drop one that would go all the way, the next play he'll make a miraculous catch.

I say keep them both. Jones will only get better.
