I'm not predicting a win I'm merely stating reasons why I think we can and why I hope we can win this game.

1. Over the past 5 games our defense has held our opponents to an average of 10.0 points a game.
2. The Patriots have lost to the Cleveland Browns
3. Over the Patriots "DOMINATING RUN" they've:
A) Scraped away a win against the Colts by three points (31-28)
B) Beat Detroit 45-24.
C) Dominated the Jets 45-3 (We shutout the Jets on the road0
D) Beat the Jay Cutler Bears 36-3 in the snow
Are any of these wins really THAT surprising?
4. They lost to the Jets 14-28 earlier in the season
5. Like the Packers the Patriots have a makeshift running game. It will be Brady versus our secondary.
6. Flynn factor. We all witnessed Flynn drive us down the field twice last week without putting points on the board but that was in a backup role. Flynn has been practicing with the first team like he's starting the game. I expect a lot better performance from him this game if Rodger's can't start.
7. Rodgers. If he does play he's been lights out the last 4 games. He posted QB ratings of 141.3, 114.5, and 135.1 in the 3 games before playing Detroit. In the Lions game he was 7-11 with 1 INT and 0 TD's before the concussion but we all know that should be 8-11 with 0 INT and 1 TD because GJ literally had one and gave it away. Rodgers was playing lights out in Detroit despite the sputter. We all have witnessed the first quarter ineffectiveness but usually we put points up later. Rodgers was just about to light it up before he got knocked out.
8. The Packers are in dangerous territory and desperately need a win now I hate to point to a factor like motivation as a reason to win but I just think we want it and need it more. The Patriots only needed a win last week to clinch the playoffs last week so they're only playing for home field advantage. It's important to have but they are not in the dire situation the Pack is in after that brutal loss to the Lions.
9. Our secondary. We match up pretty well with the Patriots and our defense has been amazingly stout considering the lack of personnel. Let's also not forget that Dom Capers worked as a "Special Assistant" under Bellechick just a few years ago. Not that he knows any plays but at least knowing the methods of the coach your facing has to be a positive, right?

B) Beat Detroit 45-24.

Our record against Detroit is a 28-26 win at home and a 3-7 loss in Detroit.
ADVANTAGE: Patriots

C) Dominated the Jets 45-3 (We shutout the Jets on the road)

Sure, it was a shutout, but a 9-0 shutout. Pats still scored 31 more pts against the Jets and held them to only a FG.
ADVANTAGE:PATRIOTS

D) Beat the Jay Cutler Bears 36-3 in the snow

Realize I am singling out just one of your points. However, is it the Distributive property in math that If A>B and B>C then A>C?

Your point about Flynn practicing as a starter has its merits. But, Tarvaris Jackson came in after Brent hurt himself and played amazingly well. The next week, he played less than average and then hurt his toe.

Bottom line on both points....just like the stock market....past success is no guarantee of future perfomance. I know you said you weren't predicting anything. Nor am I, just responding to your thoughts. Here are some of mine.

PACKERS KEY TO WINNING (according to me, MR OBVIOUS, who knows nothing)
--I'm hoping for a close game with the Packers having the last chance to score and win.
--Defense should play well but we need pressure on the QB.
--QB performance will directly affect team performance as a whole
--With Flynn at QB, we need to:
a) have a strong RUNNING performance. We cannot rely on the pass alone with him.
b) appropriately play call (MM). Flynn is not Rodgers (e.g. 4&1 bomb FAIL)
c) more importantly, win the battle up front.

1 not so dumb reason. Preparing for Flynn to be the QB, cuts a big section of the play book out. Which will force McCarthy back to more basic play calling. Back to the short game setting up the deep balls, instead of going deep just whenever. Get back to getting the WR the all and letting them make the plays. Our game plan should look similar to the way NE has been playing over this time.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

We have to figure some way to run the ball. We need long, sustained, PRODUCTIVE drives. Keeping Flynn from tossing interceptions and keeping Tom Terrific off the field are, IMO, the real keys to the game.

its +13.5 odds for the pack is all I know ... so I can still bet on the pack at 1.9 odds and feel ok 😉

Key to this game is attitude.

He who has the baddest, wins.

(Assuming Jeff Triplette's crew or Ed Hochuli's crew don't do the game. Then we're hosed.)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Here's how i see our chances of winning:
If the Pats see Flynn, and don't take the Packers seriously.
If the Pats, having sewn up a playoff spot, have a letdown.
And.....if our guys play all out, knowing how important EVERY game is from now on.

Combine those 3, and we have a CHANCE.
If the Pats play up to their "normal" level, we're sunk.
