Ill start with the injuries. Daryn Colledge had a knee sprain. He has a chance to be back for this week. Frank Zombo also had a knee sprain. Hell be challenged for this week. His is more significant than Daryns. Aaron Rodgers, just had a chance to visit with Aaron. Hes just getting ready to start to go through the first procedure, first process of the testing and so forth. They had him sleep in this morning, and I just had a chance to visit with him. Well go through the protocol that we do with all of our players, and well probably have a little better update for you Wednesday or Thursday, somewhere in that time frame. With that Ill take your questions.

(What do the doctors say about him having a concussion earlier this season and do you have to be more cautious?)
Thats all part of the protocol. Im not medically rehearsed to sit here and take you through step by step. Thats probably better questions for Dr. John Gray. But were not going to take any chances. No different than on gameday. When it became a question, an issue, was he clear, wasnt he clear, we pulled him immediately. Well always take the high side of caution in these types of situations.

(What is your assessment of why the offense performed so poorly?)
Offensively we performed poorly, and that starts with me. I did not probably do a good enough job during the course of the week. I did not see any signs in our preparation that led me to believe to be concerned about how we were going to perform. And frankly, the issues were clearly execution. If you go back and look at the tape, I give credit to Detroit and their defense, they did a fine job against us. But from a pure scheme standpoint, they played pretty much their base defense, and it was our guys against your guys, and we did not perform well in the areas of fundamentals. The execution, we had big-play opportunities. We only converted on one of them throughout the game. It was a poor performance by our offense.

(How did Lang do?)
Well, Im not going to as always, I havent corrected it with the offense yet, and frankly, were going to spend some time together, I promise you, and look at this Detroit film. It was not a very good day for anybody. You can start with me. Detroits defense did an excellent job. We were outperformed, head coach, play-caller, all the way through.

(Any hope on Jenkins?)
No, Cullen, I would say he would be challenged here probably for at least the next two weeks. Hes making progress, but I dont see Cullen being ready this week.

(If you can, will you hold a roster spot for him?)
I am week-to-week. I am looking to see who is ready to play against New England. That is more for Ted and the medical staff. Obviously if we felt that way already, we would have made that move. You are dealing with strains and calf muscles, no different than these knee sprains, there is some projection and it is usually never the same for any two people.

(How did Flynn play?)
Matt did some good things. He did some things thathe could have thrown the ball a little bit better. He missed some throws is probably the biggest criticism you want to have on Matt. But as far as the management, he was productive as far as moving the offense. We didnt help him as far as the run game. The protection was not a positive, but he had an opportunity to make some throws and he made some throws and he missed some throws.

(How do you approach the sliding with the quarterbacks and how do you make sure they do that?)
Well, the quarterbacks are coached to slide, and thats twice now this year Aaron has taken an unnecessary hit and Matt also did the same. But they are also football players. And whats happened here, particularly of late if you go back to the Atlanta game or you go back last week against San Francisco, time and time again we have had a number of second-and-1s and third-and-1s. We have been really emphasizing the stick awareness, but it doesnt count for the guys in the red jerseys at practice and we probably need to do a better job of getting that across because the quarterbacks cant be taking unnecessary hits like that.

(Do you feel you need to have another quarterback up in the option in case Rodgers cannot go?)
Thats part of the conversation last night. Ted Thompson and I talked about that on the flight back. We have Graham Harrell here. I think Graham has done an excellent job in his time here and he definitely would be a viable option.

(Is there a chance you would put Aaron through a workout tomorrow?)
Oh, I dont think so. I think really I probably wouldnt have any really concrete information for you until Thursday.

I'm glad he's owning the blame. The calls from 2nd and 1 - 4th and 1 on that final drive blew my mind. In fact, I don't understand why we ran delayed hand-offs AT ALL after the first failed one. Their D line was blowing us up all day, without a blitz. How the hell is a delayed hand-off going to be successful? That call pissed me off 10 times more than the 4th and 1 shot.

He'll never make it to Thursday. Reading some of the crazy conjecture in this place so far, Aaron Rodgers will be dead, buried and traded by Thursday.

Na.. James Starks is active and played QB in high school.. we are saved. ;)

I would lay most of this loss with our Oline. Is Detroit's defensive line that good or is our Oline that bad?

It was the perfect storm so to speak.. we couldn't run.. allowing them to turn loose the speed outside, line them up wide and taking advantage the natural power inside from Williams and Suh.. and we couldn't give them a single reason to change the approach.. because we at times are way to one dimensional in the attack.

AR's trade value will be severely impacted if he is deceased.

It doesn't matter who plays QB if the line doesn't get their shit together. They are just as bad as they were 4-5 years ago.

Zero2Cool (2h) : Golden is wearing guardian cap again. I bet he plays with it on too.
Mucky Tundra (18h) : All the stuff I'm reading from Lions fans are pointing at his toe; he more or less has permanent turf toe in one of his big toes
dfosterf (19h) : Kenny played through it, and a shame he gets little credit for that, imo
dfosterf (19h) : Big men. I hope it's not the undoing of Kenny Clark
dfosterf (19h) : Probably his toe. Pretty much a great center. Toe injuries are brutal to bigen
Mucky Tundra (2-Jun) : Lions All-Pro C Frank Ragnow retires
wpr (30-May) : It's all good.
beast (30-May) : Yeah, and I enjoyed your comments and just attempted to add to it. Sorry if I did it incorrectly.
wpr (30-May) : Beast I never said Henderson was the salt of the earth. Nor even that he was correct. Just quoting the guy.
Zero2Cool (29-May) : What did you do??
Zero2Cool (29-May) : Whoa
beast (29-May) : OMG the website is now all white, even some white on white text
beast (29-May) : Henderson, who admits to taking cocaine during the Super Bowl against the Steelers, might dislike Bradshaw as he lost two Superbowls to him
wpr (28-May) : Hollywood Henderson said Bradshaw “is so dumb, he couldn't spell 'cat' if you spotted him the C and an A.”
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : Cooper stock=BUY BUY BUY
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : Also notes he’s playing with more confidence.
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : @AndyHermanNFL MLF says there was a time last year where Cooper was at 220 pounds. Now he’s at 240 and still flying around.
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : And don't even get me started on Frank Caliendos "impersonations"
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : I got tired of them being circle jerks with them overlaughing at each others jokes.

Mucky Tundra (28-May) : I haven't watched the pregame shows in years and I don't feel like I've missed a thing
Zero2Cool (28-May) : Love says knee affected him all season, groin injury didn't help matters.
Zero2Cool (28-May) : I used to enjoy him on FOX Pregame. Now it's like a frat party of former Patriots.
Zero2Cool (28-May) : LaFleur on Watson: “Christian is doing outstanding. I would say he’s ahead of schedule.”
Martha Careful (28-May) : Bradshaw is a dumb ass cracker. I am so tired of his "aw shucks" diatribe. He should shrivel up and go away.
buckeyepackfan (28-May) : He wad all butt hurt because Aaron duped the media saying he was immunized.

Zero2Cool (19-May) : he giving up his win business?
beast (19-May) : Speaking of Woodson, sounds like he'll be a minority owner (0.1%) of the Browns
Mucky Tundra (15-May) : Zero, regarding Woodson, that'd why I find the timing with Williams peculiar
