I agree. There is too much swearing in today's world. And most of the time, it's not necessary.
I find myself swearing, and it's because it's what you hear every day. Which is sad. You can make any point without cussing......it might make you use your brain more, but it is possible,
Think about all the cuss words you hear on TV today, that NEVER would have been allowed 40 years ago.
Bill Cosby never swore in his comedy. He did ONE time, and to me, it made his point alot more then if he swore all the time. He was talking about drugs, and how he one time asked a guy why he did drugs. The guy said "Cause it hightened your personality". Cosby replied, "But what if you're an asshole?"
STILL makes me laugh!
Some comedians, i just can't listen to, cause every other word is swearing. It gets old mighty fast, in my opinion.
I respect you because of taking a stand for what you believe in.
One time, back in the 1980's, i was working at a lead factory. I had to work with a guy that was from a temp service. I worked with him a whole week, when out of the blue he said "You must be one of them born again Christians." I aksed, HOW he knew that. His reply? "I've worked with you a whole week, and never heard you swear even ONCE."
People ARE watching/listening to you, even when you don't realize it.
Food for thought.
