Bruce Lee is/was someone I've always admired for his work ethic and diligence. I don't know him as well as Barry Sanders, but I try to read up on anything I see of him.

Lee's big break came when he was cast as Kato in the television adaptation of the comic book The Green Hornet. Although Kato played a supporting role to the show's title character, Lee's breathtaking displays of martial arts quickly stole the show. The popularity of his portrayal of Kato was so overwhelming that when the show was brought to Lee's native Hong Kong, the series was marketed as The Kato Show instead of its original title.

In 1972, Lee invited Chuck Norris, the reigning world karate champion, to fight opposite him as the centerpiece of his film Return of the Dragon. When Norris asked who the victor of the match would be, the answer to Lee was obvious. In a commentary for WorldNetDaily, Norris recalled asking Lee, "Oh you're going to beat up on the current world karate champion?" "No, I'm going to kill the current world karate champion," replied Lee.

His son Brandon Lee was also someone I followed. Crazy the links between their deaths.

His work ethic killed him. He literally worked himself to death. Was at 128 pounds when he died.

Of course I admire Lee. But he's an example of someone working themselves to death.

One of my roommates in college had one. He was working 60 hour weeks. Then pop. Luckily he's still alive, just partially paralysed.

One of my favorite shows when i was a kid, was "The Green Hornet".
So i knew about him a long time ago.
His passing was quite sad.

its funny how many people have all those Chuck Norris is a bad ass jokes, when in reality, both Bruce Lee and David Carradine whipped chuck's ass.

Bruce Lee was the real deal, he created his own form of martial art...Jeet kune do...

there were many rumors about his death. to many blows to the head, an allergic reaction to hashish....

one thing is for sure, anybody cold challenge bruce lee to fight at any given time. he took on all challengers.
