Here are the four possible scenarios for the Vikings over the next two weeks:

1. Beat the Bears and Packers: 5-5 and one game behind the Packers (6-4).

2. Lose to the Bears, beat the Packers: 4-6 and two games behind the Packers (6-4).

3. Beat the Bears, lose to the Packers: 4-6 and three games behind the Packers (7-3), plus down 2-0 in head-to-head matchups.

4. Lose to the Bears and the Packers: 3-7 and four games behind the Packers (7-3), plus down 2-0 in head-to-head matchups.

In the first scenario, the Vikings are right back in the thick of it. In the fourth scenario, their season is virtually over. The good news is that #2 and #3 are both pretty good scenarios for the Packers. The Bears are in the mix too, but I still think it will be Packers vs. Vikings to decide the division.

The Packers will be coming off a bye. This will be their big chance to deal the Vikings a death blow, or at least take a three and a half game lead on them. They already send Wade Phillips packing. Maybe now it'll be Chilly's turn!

LOL to the last comment. I hope that being clever continues to work out well for you.

I like how the Packers are sitting in any of the situations. Even if the Vikings win the next two, we have a tendency to finish strong toward the end of the season, and I have confidence that we will not lose the division, especially to the Vikings. Not this year.

I'd just LOVE to see the Queens completely shut down this season. Although I suppose it would be nice for Chilly to hold on for another year.
Just seems like if the Queens have any glimmer of hope they're going to keep scratching and clawing. Be nice to just snuff their hopes completely and watch the implosion. It is a real possibility they wouldn't get a stadium and would end up in LA.
Sidney Rice is coming back. Favre needs a guy who will go up and get the ball, so when he's in trouble he can just throw it up there. Rice is that guy. Rice and Shiancoe. Moss WOULD have been one.
It's a Thursday game for Thanksgiving. So we'll have the bye week this Sunday, but they'll be playing the Bares. I'll be cheering for Julius Peppers to get some shots in.

"Well, the Vikings beat the Cardinals. If that means that they will hold onto Chilly for another week, it's worth it."

Love it.

I hope the Vikings win, so Chily keeps his job for three more years.

Lets keep in mind they BARELY beat the Cards. It may have given them some "false hope".....which is fine for me.
I think the game this week with the Bears really won't prove much, unless they absolutely destroy the Bears.
I think OUR game against the Vikings will prove which team takes over control of the division.

I'm focusing more on the Vikings @ Bears match more right now than the Packers @ Vikings...

Vikings @ Bears is kind of a lose-lose situation for the Packers unless they have important injuries.

Bears win they take the division lead (tied record with the tie breaker)...
Vikings win they have momentum with their longest winning streak this season playing the Packers at their home.

I think I'd like to see the Vikings momentum killed and lose to the Bears and Packers back to back weeks to knock them out of the race.

I think the Packers can win more down the stretch than the Bears.

FYI - If we keep winning, it doesn't matter what the other teams do.

That's how it should be anyways. One important lesson I've learned in life is take care of your own business first.

We are 6-3. They're not.

beast (1h) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (17h) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (18h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
