Does anyone else feel like we are playing with house money right now?

With all our injuries, our season should be over. I feel like we have been counted out, and aren't considered contenders based on our injuries. It helps us play relaxed, because the expectations our now lower.

And also, it hard to complain about injuries when we still have a healthy QB. Look at Dallas, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Detroit, and Arizona. It's a lot easier to recover from injuries when they are not at the QB position.

true - glad rodgers isnt banged up; although chipping his teeth must of hurt a bit. But least its not a clavicle like romo ...

IMO if we can stabilize our dline somehow we actually dont look that bad roster wise - considering ...

ya our RBs may not be as good as last year; but jackson and kuhn arnt bad ...
our TEs Im a bit worried about; finley was our man ... but other then that we pretty much have everthing on our O we could possibly want.

Our LBers are still pretty good considering ... and our secondary will get improved as soon as bigby and harris come out and play.

So IMO once we get the Dline fixed (not sure how) - we will contend ...
having jenkins and pickett would be Really helpful.

more or less agree with Dulak, although LB depth really scares me, as does the DL, obviously.

As for OL on DL, I don't know how you'd research this, but I highly doubt it's unprecedented. He's only used in short yardage/goal line situations anyway, and I'm sure Aaron Gibson or other huge goons like that have been used as such in the past.

Now if Lang is starting on the DL...that's another story

I remember seeing Todd Herremans on the Eagles D-Line a couple of years back.

Other than that, nope, I've never seen it.

Fun fact: Joe Thomas sustained a season-ending injury at Wisconsin playing on the defensive line.

I wouldn't mind being the Saints, they're defending World Champions.

Not me, although I have always had a soft spot for the Saints. It's because no matter how bad we were when I was growing up, you can always rely on us beating the Saints. Even the lowly Bucs were better than us in '79, and that was only their 4th year in existence.

1976 was the year yours truly became a fan of the venerable Green Bay Packers franchise. We were a lowly 5-9 and last place in an already bad division, the NFC Central where the team with the winning record wins the division. Bart Starr was our coach and we generally got pounded by our opponents. Not the Saints though. We beat them 32-27.

1977, we only scored a pathetic 134 points. That's less than 10 points a game. The only thing that kept us out of last place that year was the NFL was kind enough to move the Tampa Bay Bucs into our division. Thanks NFL. Because of that, we actually shut out a team. We finished that year 4-10 but at least we got to play the Saints that year (of course we won, 24-20, it's the Saints for God's sake).

1978 - whoa. A winning record? Really? With that Bart Starr guy as our coach? I didn't think it was possible. We finished 8-7-1 that year and beat the Saints 28-17.

1979 - Back to our losing ways. What's even worse is even the Bucs are better than us now. And why is that Bart Starr guy still our coach? We went 5-11 that year and pretty much nothing went right for us that year except the NFL was kind enough to schedule us against the Saints. We won that game 28-19.

1980 - Where is our Saints game? Dang it. 5-10-1 and that Bart Starr guy is still our coach. Why?

1981 - I remember the 15th game of the season very well. We got to play the Saints. We were 7-7 and if we can just beat the Jets, we'd have a winning record. Nope, we lost to the Jets 28-3. (You're probably wondering the result of the Saints game. A W, silly. You should know that by now. Oh the score? 35-7.

That was my childhood, folks. Die hard Packers fan despite us sucking every year. And that is why I have a soft spot for the Saints. No matter how much we sucked, they sucked worse.
