Why can't AJ be the LB that gets injured? So many times he is making tackles 7 yards deep. Our second and third stringers are more productive than he is. I'd like to see him hitting RB's in the hole, not running around foolishly everywhere. I think he's the reason that we're 'soft in the middle'.

I really didn't notice him playing bad..

And didn't he make a stop on 3rd down and 4th down thank god the officials were dumb on that one 🙂

More often he's just getting dragged for yardage after the initial hit.

A. Wishing injury on someone is pretty pathetic.

B. I don't think he was nearly as bad as you're making him out to be. Isn't he the one that made initial contact on the 3rd and 1 that eventually led to a turnover on downs? Maybe I'm wrong but I saw his name a lot more than I saw Zombo or Bishop's. I didn't think he played all that badly...

Funny because he actually made key stops on 3rd and 4th down on one drive. You should stop ignoring the good plays he makes.

And you shouldn't hope for a player to get hurt. Wow.

This is something I've noticed about Hawk over the last few weeks. He's actually reacting quite well, he just gets run over by RB's far too often. To be fair, however, he's the least of our problems.

The thing that kills me with AJ is that even if he is reading plays well, why isn't he attacking them? Check the footage today, he's not stopping any ball carriers regularly. With his load, he should be knocking guys over and bringing a presence to the middle. He used to be a decent run stopper, now he's just sucking ass. Is it that without Barnett, he's got more to cover? I don't get it? He's always been a brick at pass coverage, yet at least he wasn't getting dragged backwards regularly. For the fifth pick in the draft, he should be a game changer. Not all players work out that way, yet Brad Jones is playing more disruptive than Hawk is.

I'm aware that he's the least of our problems, yet if he can't shut down the run in the middle, then he's involved in our poor time of possession. AJ doesn't make or break the team, yet I'd like to see him do it. He's at his ceiling and from my point of view, it's not enough. He's got to learn to shed blocks and lean into the ball carrier. It's not going to happen, so I'm done with him.

Why is it that within a half hour of Green Bay losing we're subjected to roughly a handful of dickweed threads?

A.J. played pretty admirably, I thought. People don't seem to be able to handle the fact that Hawk isn't a great player. He is, however, a good player and he demonstrated that on the consecutive 3rd and 4th down stops late in the game.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Expecting Hawk to be Ray Lewis will leave you always disappointed. Hawk is what he is, a solid LB that doesn't make mistakes and plays where he is suppose to.

The plays last week where he looked like he was being dragged, he was trying to set up a strip.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Hawk played fine. On one play, he got driven back two yards by an RB after contact, but other than that, I didn't see any problems with how he played. There's plenty of blame to go around, so why drag Hawk into this?
