So now Brett is saying he could end up sitting down a game or two because of the tendinitis in his elbow. He later says he can play in the game without practricing but get this ... says he needs the reps.

Where the hell was that thinking during training camp? He's sure quick to point out he has no rapport (Rourke?) with the receivers, but again, training camp?

I can't help but wonder, does Brett know he was wrong and is going to get suspended? I wonder that because does he want the record he admits means the most to him to be ended by a suspension? I think not.

Headlines?
Suspension ends Favre's ironman streak at 294.
Favre's ironman streak put to rest, along with his elbow.

Which flavor serves an ego better? Or rather, which headline is less humiliating? An injury is something of the norm, suspension not so much.

Favre looked pretty good in the 2nd half Monday night. He was however holding his arm a lot.

I think this injury may be worse than the broken right thumb.

The other thing is age catches up to us all. I think it's finally caught up to Favre. He's not healing as fast as he used to.

Another loss this Sunday.. and the Viking may wish that they left the Favre experience at one season. ;)

Brett would rather end the streak on am sure on his own terms.. sitting may qualify as that.

But then that begs the next question.. if he knows he is wrong, going to sit because of his own agenda.. then say suspended for x games (I will believe it when I see it)... would the Vikings at that point have grounds to terminate his contract and recapture some of this seasons wage?

Favre sucked the first 3 games. I'll readily admit that.

But did you watch him against the Jets? He was throwing balls away when he had to (thus all the incompletions), but then throwing some beauties that TJ couldn't have done. He threw 3 TDs against the best D in the NFL (they'll finish 2010 as #1, as they did last year).

I wouldn't rule out Favre yet. His big mistake was missing training camp. That was stupid, and he possibly wouldn't have sucked if he came back a month earlier. He's now finally looking like he did last year, but I think this injury could be serious and I don't think it has anything to do with the pictures.

The end of the game Brett was over throwing people and also threw that int..

So while he was really really good in the 3rd q and some of 4th, when it really mattered he sucked

They were discussing this on Boston sports radio on Tuesday, and the host predicted that Favre was going to sit out a game due to his elbow because that would look a whole lot better than ending his streak due to a suspension for penis-gate.

Yep.. I also seen him missing guys and clutching his elbow late as well.. not saying he isn't play well or is...

If the Vikings continue to lose and fall out of the race.. this Brett photo nonsense comes to a suspension and he decides to sit ahead of the suspension to avoid his streak being broken by a suspension..

The Vikings are a team in the red.. last season they dipped hard into the supplemental revenue pool from the NFL to balance the books.. they are not in the position, in my opinion, of a team that can absorb 13 million for a guy the isn't playing, partially due to an off the field issue.
