The Colts do not have an elite OL every year or even near that. Where the heckzilla is that coming from? Peyton is excellent at reading blitzes and getting rid of the ball.

omFg you made me compliment Manning in a public setting. Eat poop, rot of nut poisoning.

Jeff Saturday has been their starting Center from 1999 to today. He has 4 Pro Bowls and 2 All-Pros

Tarik Glenn was their Tackle from '97 to 2006. He's been a Pro Bowler 3 times

Do we have anyone on our current line who has ever been in a Pro Bowler once? Even when our OL sucked in the 80s, at least we had perennial Pro Bowler Larry McCarren.

Sitton is arguably Pro Bowl quality.

Of course the rest are.....(Deleted because I'm tired of complaining about the OL. No matter how accurate the complaints, it's about as useless as complaining about my job. Life just sucks, you know.)

I think the Pats line is consistently very good, but I don't think the Colts line is anything great. So they've had two guys who have made the Pro Bowl a few times. It's mostly because they are on a winning team, and once you make the Pro Bowl, you keep going there on reputation.

I'm not asking for an elite line anyway. I'm asking for an average one. And I don't want to get too much into how Rodgers handles the pressure, which is far from perfect. The point is that he's under way too much pressure, and it's coming from the edges, which is making it hard for him to escape.

A quarterback is responsible for reading the blitz, hitting the hot read. Why should Rodgers be given a free pass on his responsibilities?

If you get sacked in less than 3 seconds there's not a whole lot you can do outside of deciding who your target is before the snap (which he has done this season quite a few times).

You learn to read the blitzes better. Study the film more closely. Watch players tendencies in formations and stances.

Doesn't help that he turns his back to his WR's when he's trying to escape. If he continues doing that, he will be injured and he will have a short career.

Another plus about having an elite o line: Makes ordinary or sub-ordinary RBs a lot better. I think if we had a top 10 O line, we'd be just fine with BJack and Kuhn (not to say we wouldn't be better with Grant, though...).

Rodgers isn't Peyton Manning and the offensive line is a lot easier to adjust than a QBs pocket tendencies. Fact is the current setup isn't doing very well and they can keep throwing the same group out there and say "make it work Rodgers" all they want but the only thing that will come of it is a still bad o-line and a back up QB.

Unless you suggest that the Packers need to get a new QB then the offensive line is what needs to get fixed.
