Ok, since I volunteered to report on Starks this season and he's on PUP, plus Shields is out, I figured I'd write about Bishop.
I think he looked very good. If he keeps playing like this, I won't want Barnett back. Or Hawk. LOL.
13 tackles was it? Huge sack. Didn't make the big mistake everyone thought he would. Thought he was solid.
All our scrub Dbacks have looked pretty decent too. Capers is making his guys look good. Too bad we can't do that on offense too.

Bishop exceeded my expectations.

It looks like Bishop was in Barnetts spot with Hawk calling the plays. Bishop did look good in the run game and not to bad in the pass coverage.

He got in front of runs better than Barnett does.

and fast. He looked good. He looked like he belongs out there.

I had little hope for Desmond Bishop so take that into consideration when I say I think he played really well today, especially the first half. I like watching him and Clay tackle people. It looks like it hurts the offensive player.

Should be interesting to see if he can play well consistently or even improve with playing time. Maybe Hawk won't be a Packer next year after all.

He was great. Actually made tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage instead of waiting 5 yards to make the tackle.. like some other LBs I know

There was actually one play where the RB was advancing, probably 3 or 4 yards past the line of scrimmage. AJ was setting up to make the tackle, waiting for the RB to slam into him. Then Bishop came out of nowhere and stopped the RB dead in his tracks, with Hawk standing there flat footed. I thought, "Yeah, there' Hawk for ya". Bishop played aggressive and that's exactly what's lacking from Hawk's game. All the skill and natural talen in the world won't get you very far in the NFL if you don't play aggressive.
