There has to be another thread about this already, but how often and badly does a defensive package have to fail before they stop using it?

Agree, I have not or at least don't recall this package having any cosistent impact. Teams seem to handle it fairly easitly. The other teams offensive linemen just wait for it to develop and snuff it.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

The only way this package could be effective is if you dropped everyone into coverage. If your going to keep blitzing you should keep all your best pass rushers on the field.

Definitely the worst I've seen.

I thought it worked well. The Bears offense only scored 13 points, and all those penalties were the fault of the DBs, who would be playing in the regular defense anyway.

Um, I don't remember the psycho getting beat much last night? It looked to me like every time they used it Cutler got flustered.

I have never seen one play from the psycho package prevent more yards than it gives up in the long run. Judging from the plays I saw last night it was extremely ineffective, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, probably.

They sure used it effectively in the first two weeks. When it is responsible for sacks the people cry: "Brilliant!" When Green Bay pressures, hurries, and frustrates Cutler to a sub-par performance in a 3-point loss characterized by poor special teams and the most penalties in a half-century, the people cry: "This package sucks! Get ridda it!"
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Don't recall seeing it do poorly either. I thought the defense didn't play too badly. They only gave up 13 points and one Chicago score was set up by a punt return. They really did hurt themselves with 2 15 yard penalties on the drive towards the end though.
