2 things. For one, I agree with NSD that it's silly to assume CM3 is on 'roids. Gaining 30 pounds in a year is EASY. Well, not easy as it takes a lot of work. But when I say easy, I mean anyone can do it if they're willing to do the work.

I find MMA boring and am no fan of it whatsoever, but won't mention names, a certain former Light Heavyweight champ could drop and gain back 15 pounds in ONE DAY. Yes, a day. That gave him a wrestling advantage (to anyone who's ever wrestled before). That was one of his main weapons to those who followed the sport. And no, it had nothing to do with any controlled substance. It was something he had down to a science. He'd drop the weight for a weigh in, then gain it back immediately afterward.

Point 2 - I disagree that steroids are ok in sports. I'm very much against them and I'll explain. For the record, I'm all for recreational drug use. Like Noam Chomsky often said, 70 million Americans regularly use illegal drugs and only 2 million have a problem. So, what's the problem?

However, apples and oranges. Steroids give you a competitive advantage if you choose to take them. Not fair to those who choose not to take them. If you want to do steroids, be my guest. If you want to do steroids then compete with me in a sport, then we have a problem.

I can waste pages describing the side effects of steroids I've seen first hand. Won't get into details because I don't want to type that much. I'll never touch them, and if I were a professional athlete, I'd want them regulated like how the NFL does it. The NFL has random testing, as it should, and violators get booted out for X games, as it should be.

HGH on the other hand, I think Pack93z brought up is another issue. Yes, there aren't good tests to find HGH right now and that's a problem, but that's another topic.

I don't buy the "who he hangs out with" argument because if I'm judged by who I hang out with, I'm a gay religious nutcase former felon junkie prostitute drug dealing yuppie real estate agent liberal right-wing wacko. That whole argument is silly.

Again.. whom stated he was guilty?

I never said anyone did. I very carefully used words like "assumptions," "theory," "allegations," "insinuation."

I'm objecting to bringing up the possibility of steroid use at all in the absence of evidence. Pointing out that he hangs out with a steroid user isn't even circumstantial evidence. It's not evidence at all. If he were lacking in definition or carrying more muscle than could be reasonably expected of someone of his frame -- or if it could be shown that his workouts were not challenging -- then I could understand the suspicion. But no one has brought forth any such lines of evidence.

It's just a bunch of speculation from media geeks who've probably never spent any time in the gym, much less trained like an elite athlete.

Discounting the roids, what a set of LBs USC had.

If these men use the consequences are their own and I don't feel sorry for them. What I don't like is when they use, there's a trickle down to college and high school. For that reason I feel the punishment should be harsh.

I know, and have you seen his hair? So shiny, such body and bounce. And those eyes... dreamy. One day he will hold me like a child.
