I honestly think the Cards played sub-vanilla last week on purpose. I think Arizona's intent was twofold.

1. To not show us any of their key plays such as the multiple looks of stacking of receivers on offense.

2. To let last weeks lost fester and build some serious desire to beat us the following week. I don't think our comments during the week helped in this department.

I think we got outsmarted a bit due to our lack of experience and over confidence. We will not make the same mistake again.

BTW, I am rooting for the Saints next weekend.

Some of it is gameplanning. Those WR bunch plays are examples of that.

But that's only as far as making a catch goes. The constant missed tackles, untimely penalties, missed FG, interception and fumbling are not something you gameplan for or against.

It's simply a matter of executing your gameplan. We didn't do that. Coupled with the fact that Wisenhunt already naturally had the gameplan advantage, it is incredible that the Packers with Rodgers even made it as far as OT.

The only dive taken was by the Packer defense.

Warner threw 6 passes last week. Leinart played most of the game. They showed us nothing of what they were gonna do in the playoffs on offense and their defense had something extra in it which helped them get up big on us. This helped them bum rush us in the first half till our offense settled down.

Yep. Certainly we fans got over-confident - the vast majority seemed to think it wasn't even a contest. Not being in their heads, I can't say for certain the players were over-confident, but they sure looked shell-shocked after that first quarter, which would indicate they didn't expect what they got.

We played them in 2 meaningless games and then made the mistake of thinking that the results of those games were truly indicative. Whoops.

I posted virtually nothing on the game because I figured I'd be labeled a Nervous Nelly or a Debbie Downer. But given this team's checkered history in big games, I was uneasy about the game all week.

I knew it wouldn't be easy but I was pretty darn sure that we had the better chances. Over confidence killed the club in the first half ... it might be a big loss now but it could be a bigger gain for the future of the club.

Big surprise, Rourke knew we were going to lose, after the fact. 🙂 Light humor, relax.

The Packers didn't show anything or give up anything by playing their starters longer in the season finale. Stop looking for excuses, freaking eh.

Bottom line, this is what happened. The Cardinals seen something from the Steelers and Vikings games from the Packers, and that was an open middle field that was easily attacked. It had nothing to do with the last damn game of the season.

Get over it. The Packers did the right thing in playing hard all sixteen games. It is NOT why they lost.

What happened to Packers fan's being the most intelligent? We're better than this guys/gals, cmon now.

We put up 45 points on a playoff team and our defense refused to tackle because they wanted to strip instead of tackle.

No, I actually expected us to win, just not in a blowout (they were favored by only a point for a reason). I was just nervous at all the possibilities. I was going to be watching the game in Germany, for godsake. 😉

This, there was a question asked if we showed too much last week. The truth is we showed too little this week. We didn't execute and made too many mistakes.

"US" ???

Are you kidding me? They showed "US" nothing.

In all of my posts, over many years, I do not think I have never used the term "US" in referring to the Packers.

I have never, that I can remember used the term "WE" when talking Packer football.

I always type "The Packers" played well... instead of "We Played Well"

Or Perhaps... "A Great Victory For The Packers" instead of "A Great Victory For Us Tonight."

I have to type "Packers" because with a good conscience I can admit I am also Raider fan. That means "US" and "WE" is a honor and right of passage for the many here on this web site who have earned the right to use words like "US" and "WE".

It is little thing that I am sure no one has noticed. But it is about respect. Respect for the TRUE and loyal Packer Fans on this site.

Gravedigger... I try to avoid communication directed at you.

But sometimes you state stuff that just makes me feel so sorry for you, your misguided direction, your lack of conviction, and the idiocy of need to make a fool of your-self.

Stuff that just needs a response.. For the sake of showing people your true colors.

Which are Purple and yellow... And Not Green and Gold.

For you to use the terms "Us" and "We" is an insult to every one who contributes to this forum, that is green and gold, through and through.

It is late, and I am two time zones behind most members on this forum... But I am sure you will come back with some lame ass response...

You will be awake and reading this... Because there is no possible way you can actually sleep at night.

Not with your convictions.

i dont think they took a dive....i just think the cards were incredibly bored in week 16 and just bottled it all up. its been said about over confidence but from watching it I just feel that the cards were better prepared along with the near 3 quarters of momentum they had over the packers from the first play.

and no one talking about home field advantage...roof closed....12th man?

But have to be positives....next season should be a gooden.
