The one thing I never understand is personal attachment to any one player. These men are PROPERTY of the Green Bay Packers. Every one of them can be gone with each snap they play. Yet some of us sit here pining for a cut or traded player.

It is rather senseless or at the very least nit-picking to go after Thompson for a move he could have made or in complete hindsight should have made when he is the one responsible for the entire body of work.

The simple truth is the players on the roster are there because Ted Thompson chooses to put them there. So obviously he is right in his thinking to a much greater degree than he is wrong.

The guy know personnel and how to keep the core players needed and how to juggle the cap to make sure they don't get caught in a crack and he darn sure knows how to draft football players.

And he's done this with a clear eye on the future with what I would have to say is the deepest pool of young players I can actually EVER recall and I've been following this crew since '60.

Sure a lot better than some dickhead worried about his job mortgaging the future for some players to get "W's" now and when that doesn't work and he's gone he leaves us all standing here screwed.

I'm sure there's a Bears fan around here somewhere listening to this and you can bet he would give his right stone for Ted Thompson about now.

Ted and MM look as if they have things going in the right direction. I'm not going to crown either of them after a 7-1 finish but I'm not going to critisise them right now either.

Most everyone is assuming The Packers are going to be a winning team for at least a few more years, maybe longer.

4-12...8-8....13-3...6-10...11-5.

Let's hope they break the cycle and continue winning, because as it has been said many times,"winning cures all"

Just because someone doesn't agree with every move Ted Thompson makes, doesn't mean that person is a "Ted hater", as Z said earlier,"people do have a right to change their mind".

What amazes me is that some of you who say you "have backed Ted since the beginning", are the same people who bash the players he has given MM to work with saying how much they suck and wanting them cut.

There were plenty of things to gripe about when The Packers were 4-4, but going 4-4(losing to Tampa Bay), as RP so rightly stated at the time, was probably the best thing to happen to THE TEAM.

That was the turning point of this season, hopefully for many years to come. There are no guarantees, Kudos to Ted and Mike for a successful 2009 season.

Supporting Ted Thompson and MM should mean supporting the players who make up the team, that I don't see much in some cases. JMHO

Should it? I support Ted in the bigger picture and I support his methods. That doesn't mean that I have to like his every move.

For instance, I didn't like that we traded up to the 26th spot, while we could've traded up 3 picks earlier and could've gotten ourselfs a premier (R)T.

I'm just asuming the Pats would've accepted that same offer, here.

That means that I didn't support his one move. As much as I love Clay, I still think it would've been better to go for Oher. That doesn't mean that I don't support the man overall.

I try to judge him on what he's doing. So far, that's the only flaw I could find. He's invested the picks in the O-line, he's mostly drafted BPA, it's just that he didn't go for a good tackle there.

I even like the Bush resigning.

Go Ted.

Actually, buckeyepackfan, if you read my posts, you'll see I was more pissed at the fans clamoring for what I called the "reunion team" than I was with Thompson for bringing them in. I want Thompson to bring in the best options available. But the fan's nostalgia for former Packers players annoys me.

It's amazingly ironic that, for a man who puts wins and losses on the shoulders of QBs, you make a difference between rushing TDs and passing TDs.

It makes little sense.

But then again, every time you look up, Jennings is taking a short pass to the house for massive YAC. ;)

It really does amaze me that this team was literally 3 seconds away from going 12-4. 12-4 does sound so much better than 11-5.

But I'll take 11-5 over, well, almost anything else any day.
