I voted for Rodgers for all the reasons Silentio outlines.

Chico has to get it... If it is truly based on the MVP on the team.

Without Aaron this team does not make the palyoffs. That is a fact.

I would like to see Co-VIP's Both Arron and Chuck.

If you ask me, it's a toss-up between Woodson and the D-line as a whole. Mainly Jenkins and Pickett.

Jenkins is doing such an amazing job. You know that you have a good 3-4 DE when the offense is double teaming him because of his rushing abilites. He doesn't have to work to take two guys out of the play, the OCs do it for him.

Pickett is horribly underrated. The man is absolutely amazing. He's our one-man wall. How often have we seen him work his way through a guard and a center and still get the RB down for a loss? This defense falls and stands with its NT play and Pickett is holding his own, to say the least.

But, in the end, I have to go with Woodson. Teams either go around him and just don't throw in his direction (I don't think that Flacco targeted him even once) or throw at least one pick to him and for the most part still shut down the receiver. That's absolutely amazing. And this is not only in man, this is in zone, as well. How many corners do you know who can play zone just as well as man? He also plays safety, covers TEs, covers the slot, blitzes up on the line of scrimage, shuts a receiver down with a 8 yard cushion, shuts a receiver down playing press.... It's just amazing.

And, the stats speak for themselves. Huge amount of tackles, leading the league in ints, returning 2 for TDs, forcing fumbles, just making game changing plays. He's just off the charts this year. He gets my vote.

Understood.
I thought about giving a spot to the DLine but I doubt the team will do that and I already had so many choices.

God this is a brutal poll. No, not blaming the poster at all, but the simple fact that if I vote for Rodgers I'm snubbing Woody and vice versa.

I agree. I was just stunned when I realized Woodson can be the D MVP or DPOY and still not be the team's MVP. I just wanted to see what others were thinking.
In the end I had to go with Rodgers too. After all he too had a great year and unless GB won like the Bears of old where their defense either scored the TD's or set up the offensive scores you have to give a lot of the credit to the QB.

No need to list anyone other than Rodgers and Woodson. As I've thought all along, Woodson is our best player but Rodgers is our most valuable player. I think he would be hard to replace because he makes a lot of plays with his feet. He is a great improviser, rather than just a "system" QB, as so many thought he was when he came into the league.

Besides all the obvious choices (Rodgers, Woodson, D Line), I think someone who should get some love is Tauscher. Just look at our o-line situation before and after he joined the team. Having him at RT has freed up our tightends to run routes, opposed to staying in to block. I don't feel like looking this up, but it seems our win streaks started when Tauscher came back to form. Besides anyone who replaces Barbre is a winner to me. šŸ˜ƒ

It is tough picking just one player. All of the players mentioned above have been huge difference makers (well except Crosby.) I think it is a toss up between Rodgers and Woodson. They both look good on the field, and on paper (though I'm not a big stat guy.) Rodgers is easily one of the top QBs in the league right now, and really doesn't get enough credit for it.

Woodson is one of the best CBs in the game, if not the best. Although getting some attention from the media, it seems like he is also shadowed a bit. Congrats on your latest franchise record by the way!

All of the others mentioned have surpassed my expectations by FAR! I think of the others on this list, Clay Matthews has really impressed me the most. I see him making a huge impact for years to come.

Is there some anti-Packers media group or something? Anytime any of these players get mentioned on any sports show, someone always has to open their trap and bring up someone else that nobody wants to hear about anyway.
