Grant lost a fumble against the Bengals, on a drive we could have taken the lead with I believe. It was a pass reception that he fumbled.

That was it, I knew I remembered him losing one.

Grant is in no way as talented as Peterson, but he has put up pretty consistent numbers, he is absolutely not as terrible as some on this forum make him out to be.

You nailed it Z, The Packers are best when they set up the run with the pass. It's amazing the holes that can be created when a defense has to worry about the "playmakers" on The Packers.

Exactly. And that's why we need to find that complimentary back. He's the Pierre Thomas and/or Mike Bell, but we don't have the Reggie Bush.

That would also mean that Grant might get some less carries. Getting 300 carries year in, year out is tough on any back.

Well add another fumble to Petersons tally, just gave it up in overtime.

Thanks for the nifty columns, wpr.

I immediately regretted this post because I made it just before the Vikings-Bears game. Peterson added two more TD's and about 100 yards. His YPC should stay the same, though.

This thread is in no way meant to suggest that Grant is anywhere near as talented as Peterson. I just find it interesting that their production this season is similar in a lot of ways.

I took it to a word doc put a tab between columns and slapped the "code" around it. Previewed as they some times look ok in a doc but not on the forum.

I agree that it is interesting their numbers are similar considering Grant was a PS player and AP was the #7 overall pick.

We all know AP >>> RG (except for fumbles...thanks peterson!!!) and I think it's a good post to point out R.G. isn't as awful as we all assume. However, zero said it best...does anyone really go into a game to gameplan against grant like they would peterson, chris johnson, stephen jackson, or on the packers side Rodgers, Finley, or DD/GJ?

No doubt Grant has put up some nice numbers this year, and I think played much better the last 6 or so weeks, but we're also kidding ourselves if we think he's a top 5, arguably even top 10 rb in the league.

I like Grant. I just wish we could figure out how to get him to start the season like he ends it.

Ill take peterson anyday over grant ...

IMO grant hasnt gotten better as the season has progressed; our line has and our play-calling

Watch the first 5 games again and watch grant run repeatedly into the back of our line for very few yardage up the middle. Then of course you see the rare occasional play to the outside where he goes for 10-15.

Peterson might be more athletically gifted than Grant, but Peterson seems to fumble the ball away a lot more.

He's still doing it. Go back and watch this last game against Seattle. He did it quite a few times. It's so FRUSTRATING!
