Interesting statistical comparison here between the #7 and #8 rushers in the NFL. LG is longest carry and FM is fumbles.

ATT YDS AVG LG TD FM FM lost

7. Adrian Peterson 281 1235 4.4 64T 15 6 5

8. Ryan Grant 271 1202 4.4 62T 10 0 0

Sorry, I don't know how to align columns on this site.

Oops, Peterson is playing right now, so these numbers are skewed, but still interesting.

That's pretty cool to see. It doesn't look like Peterson isn't adding too much to that either tonight.

In all honesty, though, I still think that Peterson is by far more gifted. I can't imagine that there's no reason for this huge collapse. There must be an injury or something. I mean, this O-line isn't helping, but I've seen him turn horrible plays into great ones before. Even earlier this season. Something has to be wrong with him.

He's obviously more gifted. But at the end of the day it should be measured by what he does on the field.

Peterson always had a tenancy of doing nothing all game then breaking a big one. Right now he's doing nothing all day and not breaking any big ones.

............................ATT.....YDS.....AVG.....LG......TD.....FM......FM lost

7. Adrian Peterson..281.....1235.....4.4......64T.....15......6.......5

8. Ryan Grant.........271.....1202....4.4.......62T.....10......0......0

I kind of remember RG fumbling 1 time, can't remember if it was a turnover or not.(could be wrong)

AD is playing tonight, but will not skew the avg. very much.

Ryan Grant compares very favorably to Peterson, yet Grant is the guy who some have been wanting to be benched or cut all season long.

RG isn't flashy, doesn't mean he isn't talented.

RG, BJ, AG, makes a very nice stable of rb's. I am hoping Packers keep AG one more year, his experience alone is worht the move.

I understand the premise of this, but I don't think any team goes into a game with the Packers saying 'ok team primary task, shut down Ryan Grant'. I just don't see that happening. I think Aaron Rodgers scares the crap out of defenses and Ryan Grant benefits from it.

On the flip side, teams go against the Vikings trying to find a way to stop Adrian and he's still getting decent yards.

Grant lost a fumble against the Bengals, on a drive we could have taken the lead with I believe. It was a pass reception that he fumbled.

Doesn't that just sound exactly like Grant though? Except reversed; Grant's getting those big ones lately.

That was it, I knew I remembered him losing one.

Grant is in no way as talented as Peterson, but he has put up pretty consistent numbers, he is absolutely not as terrible as some on this forum make him out to be.

You nailed it Z, The Packers are best when they set up the run with the pass. It's amazing the holes that can be created when a defense has to worry about the "playmakers" on The Packers.
