As the Vikings prepare to play the Bears in Chicago, ESPN just put up a rather interesting statistic.

We all remember the one about how great Brett Favre is in Lambeau when the gametime temp is --what do they usually cite---35 degrees?

How is he "away" in cold weather games? (rhetorical question)

Here is the trivia question, per ESPN:

I still cannot believe this is true, but I'm drawing a blank--Anybody want to fact check this, be my guest...

When is the last time that Brett Favre won a cold weather "away" game, as defined by a game-time starting temperature of <39 degrees?

This game; REALLY--that's what they just said on TV--

You're welcome Dave.

And you are correct sir.
I never have been, nor will I ever be "happy" to see Lord Favre in purple. I still find it truly disgusting.
I am in the very small minority among my purple brethren in that regard.

I agree, that is an interesting bit of trivia. Almost 8 years since a Favre led team has won in cold weather on the road.

"Favre's team"? :pukeright:

It is still the Minnesota Vikings team.... temporarily quarterbacked by an egotistical, aging, and cancerous life form.
And I will not to mention the aberration calling himself the Head Coach.

But I digress.

As to your question Jeremy, who the hell knows what will happen Monday night.
As a Vikings fan for over 40 years, I no longer predict what will happen with them at the end of a season. I'm too bruised and battered in that regard.

Always a Minnesota Vikings fan though!!!!!!

Getting back to that cold weather game trivia...

One might ask oneself, "Well, what about Da Bares?"

OK-- No one asked themselves that, but I'll ask anyway :thumbleft:

How many of the last 10 home games played with an opening game temperature of 32 degrees or less have the Bears won?

Answer:

Why, they have won ALL of them, silly!

Cold Play
The Bears have been perfect in their last 10 home games (including the playoffs) in which the game-time temperature has been 32 degress or colder.
W-L 10-0
PPG 26.2
Opponent PPG 13.8
Turnover differential +8
