So true. And because Favre opened his mouth, all the critics in the world are going to be collectively chanting for his head and no one will pay attention that Chilly is the idiot here, not Favre.

It's should be what's expected of Favre, though. 17 years of him doing this.. and people think it's gonna change now?! HA!

I'll say it again as I've said for years. One of the things we all most enjoy about Brett is his openness, and it's also one of his biggest down falls.

By your theory, if someone robs a bank, bah, let them, its what they always do we should be used to it.

I guess you just skimmed another article?

It doesn't matter that you're right and Chilly is an idiot

The writer has said Chilly was an idiot..

The issue is not if he was right in staying in, but why bring it up in the media to give people a reason to bad mouth him

It's the thing that has always annoyed me the most about him, because it's a patent ploy for attention and an attempt to wrap the media and public perception around his finger. The same guy who was telling homespun stories to the media was cruising around downtown Green Bay with his boys acting like an asshole (and I heard this from people in Green Bay as long ago as the 90s). I'd rather he kept his mouth shut. Gods are supposed to be mysterious.

Yes, of course, you're different, you're special. We get it.

I think his openness let us feel closer to him, in the light that we were somewhat like him. He had his failures, mistakes, etc ... and kept fighting to over come them with hard work. His openness opened the door for us to see him as a blue collar type of person, which is an accurate description of most Wisconsin people.

Pick and choose whom you are an asshole to. Make sure they can handle it and have a moderate grasp of your comments intention. There's a few here who understand that even when it appears I'm being an asshole, I'm not. Shawn, Dave and Rourke are a few who I feel understand that even when it may seem like I'm going off on a tirade, I'm more or less just rambling, kind of like now, and not to take it seriously.

I also wouldn't say I get 'away' with it though and I do get labeled and asshole. šŸ™‚ or no šŸ™‚
