Ya know, I think everyone is right.

Let's change for the sake of changing... Fuck'em. Boot Crosby.

He isn't up to our standards. let him go.

Who cares if he is the best available. It simply isnt good enough.

I hear Folk is available....

By the way, why aren't we still in the Fire McCarthy mode? Shit, let boot him too. Three weeks should be long enough to change everyrthying, right?

Oh yea, Thompson too. They're together. Off you go Thompson!

Let's face it. If we don't win the Superbowl then it is not good enough and heads have to roll!!!

The redskins cut there kicker after 1 miss and they arent even in contention for a playoff spot. We do have playoff potential and we absolutely need a Kicker who can get the kicks hes supposed to get.

and how the hell do you know Crosby is the better then all the other available kickers?

I just dont want this to end up like a Frost situation where we stick with him too long whenever theres a Jeremy Kapinos out there who can at least kick the ball more then 40 yards and have some hangtime.

Exactly, the Redskins are already in their preseason for next year. And don't think for a moment that one kick is why he was booted.

and how the hell do you know Crosby is the better then all the other available kickers?
Because he is employed. If the Packers felt there was someone better then that kicker would be in Green Bay

Bingo!!!! Why were we in the Frost situation to begin with? Because we made a knee jerk reaction to jon Ryan having a few tough weeks. Then we were stuck with Frost while Ryan went to Seattle and has done very well.

2008
Ryan (SEA) 8th distance net 7
Frost (GNB 25th Distance Net 24th

2009
Ryan (SEA) 4th Distance Net 10th
Kapinos GNB) 17th Distance Net LAST! (31st)

Wanna go down this road with Crosby too?

Trip you know to say give him more time is just ridiculous right?

4 or 5 weeks and the kicker or the kickers coach can't figure out why he is missing a foot to the right? Its not like there are other people that he has to throw to,or rely on other people to open a running lane, or to shed blockers

His job is only to KICK, and if he cant fix that in 5 weeks, then maybe he isnt that good?

Not saying it cant be fixed, but my god, why can't it be figured out after the 2nd week?

So maybe the problem isn't our kicker -- maybe it's our coaches. Crosby flourished under the tutelage of his college kicking coach. It's currently offseason for college football -- bring him in as an independent consultant for a few weeks. Our special teams coaches told us they were going to fix Crosby's mechanics. They took him from the highest-scoring person in the league to a nervous wreck. My finger points at them.

FG Percentage:

2008: 26th

Can it get any worse?

I'm not sure why you keep bringing up Frost. We HAD a good punter with Jon Ryan. Crosby is NOT a good kicker.

Who cares if his FG percentage was low in 2007. He was the league's leading scorer, for heaven's sake.
