I don't want McCarthy back even if we win the SB. I don't like him. Inconsistent and I believe we could find somebody better.

He is far from the worst coach and far from the best. And we as Packer fans deserve the best.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

While I can still see the warts on this staff and performance of this team.. I guess when you have two units that are ranked highly and they are at the very least masking their issues.. I hold my tongue for the most part.

I will say last night.. for the first real time for an entire game I seen the offensive line working very well together.. you can tell they are really focusing on the reads as an entire group presnap.. if they got bark it out loud so be it.. whatever it takes to ensure that pressure is accounted for an everyone is on the same page.. amazing what a pair of solid tackles do for edge pressure and what proper reads do for an interior of a line.

That is no masking job.. that is straight up making the adjustments.

Well said.

I have to say that this was the first game all year where for the entire game I *knew* we were going to win. The first time all year where I wasn't waiting for the inevitable screw ups, bad playcalling, playing not to lose, collapse of the OL, etc.

Of course it helped that Baltimore's offense sucks even more than, well, just about anyone. But frankly, I just expected this game to be a win from the way it was being played.

I still think we are pinheads, that we fans are setting ourselves up for a fall (because a deep part of me doesn't think the team is near where it needs to be to be a serious contender).

But last night I believed.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

And all three running backs did their jobs consistently picking up the free blitzers. Hell of a job game planning and getting the players to be consistent and reliable play to play. I put that on McCarthy for doing his job well this last week, and the previous three weeks as well. Now yes, 6-10 was unacceptable last year, but here we are, potentially a 4+ game turn around, that isn't all defense, because the offense still has to score, and we are doing that. Maybe not in the most remarkable fashion, but it's getting done and that's all that matters to me. Only the Cowgirls define their success by style points, I hope we don't get to that.

Speaking of the O-line, did anyone see Wells throw a guy at least 5 yards on the first extra point? It was pretty damn funny. If you have a copy of the game, check it out.

There is so much wrong with the grammar in the title of this thread and this thread in general that it deserves to be deleted.

I could care less about McCarthy's demeanor. What I do care about are the continual penalties and bad special teams. They are going to bite us come playoff time. I care about the droning mantra of "We'll get those fixed" that has become a running punchline to Packer fans. It's amazing how we win a few games, and suddenly we're back to Mike McCarthy is above criticism. It wasn't that long ago that a number of people here were calling for Mike McCarthy to be fired, and the reasons given are the same ones that apply now. I don't give a damn about what the Browns' and Lions' fans think. Those teams suck for their own reasons, but none of us have won a Super Bowl recently. Just because we're better than incompetent franchises doesn't mean we should stop pushing for excellence. I want to get back to where the Colts are now, where every season isn't about hoping to make the playoffs; it's about contending for a title.

It is not that Mike is a bad coach but Ted and Mike made mistakes on the O line. They had way too much confidence in the young O Line, way to much. They had finally realized that time to fix that or Rodgers will be more horizontal than vertical. I don't care who they coach maybe, if the team does not have a good O LINE all the coaches will suck. Remember if you want to be blame Mike also blame Ted.
