The worst to come out of this:

We are put on notice for PI. Tramon Williams is put on notice for his play ability.

Expect everyone else to tee off against Williams, Bush and Underwood and effectively ignore Woodson.

The Packers and Ravens were the two most penalized teams, coming into the game; and they didn't disappoint...

The officials did their job.

Personally I think Williams should be happy not to get at least 2 more PI calls against him. He clutched the Receivers' arms before the catch all day long.

This is why I don't like our chances if we have to face Arizona in the first round. I'm not relishing the idea of Williams having to cover Boldin or Fitzgerald.

I think it was too tight. You have to let them play a little.

How quickly we forget that Tramon is a pretty good corner. He was better than Al Harris last year. He just had an off game it happens. Now he can correct his problems and become better.

I mean the one drive were McGahee scored Tramon barely touched the receiver he made a play on the ball in the endzone.

Wow, I am absolutely shocked at how many people think that all of those were pass interference. I do remember one clear one on Williams that was missed. However, that sort of jostling happens on just about every long ball. The two called on Williams in the end zone should not have been called as well as at least two called on Ravens defenders. The first time Williams was called in the end zone he never impeded the receivers run, never slowed him down, and played the ball when it came in getting a piece of it. The second time he was called in the end zone both the receiver and Williams were jockying for position, so if you're going to be nit picky it's interference on both. I also thought the offensive pass interference called on Mason was harsh.

Simply put, that was the tightest I have ever seen pass interference called, in the NFL or otherwise. At a certain point it just gets ridiculous. Every little contact should not be pass interference. Otherwise, we might as well just have a game where everyone chucks it deep and hope you get a call. Hell, while we're at it we might as well train our receivers to start diving like this is soccer to draw pass interference calls. Let the defense play.

Are you talking about him slapping the arms down of the receiver? That would as clear a DPI as you may find in football?

"jdog2" wrote:

Not really, he ran with the receiver, stuck his arm in between the receivers arms and his chest and then swung upwards to get a piece of the ball. If that's going to be called pass interference then there is pass interference just about every time someone runs a deep route.

That's a very good point. Let's hope Williams is up to the task. Before this game, I don't remember him being particularly prone to pass interference calls. If he returns to form, he'll have a chance to make a lot of plays.

On the plus side, Jarrett Bush barely had his name mentioned in this game, and when he did, it was for making a good play.
