Seems like the Bears brought in Jimmy Johnson to drive a pack mule. Other than Cutler, Forte, and Olson; that offense lacks talent period. You have two track stars playing receiver and a geriatrics unit for an O-line. How in the hell can Cutler do anything?

I don't even complain about our O-line anymore after watching the Bears for a few games.

I'd feel bad for Cutler if he wasn't such a crybaby prick.

Look, I love Jay, and I understand he's a great player who can take us a long way, and I still have faith in him," Urlacher tells Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports. "But I hate the way our identity has changed. We used to establish the run and wear teams down and try not to make mistakes, and we'd rely on our defense to keep us in the game and make big plays to put us in position to win. Kyle Orton might not be the flashiest quarterback, but the guy is a winner, and that formula worked for us. I hate to say it, but that's the truth."

Sounds like Urlacher is one of the few who agrees with me about Orton.

The problem with that Mr. Urlacher is have you seen your defense lately they can't stop anybody.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Exactly.

And an offensive line that can't open a hole for the RB, like Dakota said.

I'm not trying to defend the defense, but lets not throw out that Cutler has put the defense back on the field prematurely with his 20 or so interceptions in 11 games. Not to mention his inaccurate throws. He did over throw Devin Hester for petes sake.

I never liked Cutler...one bit. When the Bears signed him and they were all going nuts over him I sat back and chuckled. They gave away a CRAPload for him.

He has harmed the team more than he has helped. As far as I see it, if he is deemed as such an elite quarterback, he should be able to fight through the negatives of the Chicago Bears. The whole team has fallen to shambles. They are just bad and are only getting worse.

When Orton was with the Bears, the defense was at it's high point and he had a few good receivers. Not to mention, when Orton was the quarterback for the Bears, they had the most electrifying punt and kick off return (which the Bears alone singlehandedly ruined).

Cutler shows every game he can only throw and only wants to throw to one person, Greg Olsen. I think in the Minny game, he hit Olsen like 3-4 consecutive times. It doesn't help that all his receivers are dominant 3rd string receivers on any good team, but again, if he is SO great he should overcome this.

*Edit- To add. This move was poor on the Bears because getting Cutler shows Orton was NOT the problem. The real problems are shining now.

Look at it from a different perspective, say The Packers, with the guys now on the roster, were in need of a qb, both these guys are available at the same price.

Which one would you sign as the GM?

I would go after Cutler, just because of the talent The Packers have.
Cutler is a much better thrower, but Orten much better manager, Cutler would fit better in Green Bay.

The Bears look like they made a huge mistake(breaks my heart), they must have thought their wr corpse was much better than they really are.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I think giving up two firsts, a third and Orton for Cutler would be bad for the Packers, providing we had Orton in the first place.

Cutler would be better in Green Bay than Chicago, yes, but I think between the teams in the NFC North, he'd have been best suited for the Vikings, not the Bears, or us or the Lions.

Bears, Lions and Packers have several holes that need to be filled, more than the Vikings do and giving up that much draft stock to get a interception machine, while losing a guy who's done nothing but win ... to me that just seems bad.
