He's just fumbled for the second time against the bears.

I remember when Ahman had the bad streak, e.g., there was no small amount of consideration of benching him. And AP fumbles far more often than AG ever did.

If you were the Vikings, and you have chester taylor, a 1000-yard runner in his own right, would you ever consider benching AP for all or part of a game?
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Yes. Only because it would be funny.

I'd split the time up a bit more.. but I would also rush more (it seemed Favre was throwing the ball ALOT today.. I don't know the box score because I was at the game, so I could be wrong). As long as AP continues to be a threat, I still give him the rock.

Give AP the rock. Let Chester Taylor continue being the receiving RB.

MN's scoring 33 points a game. AP's fumbles aren't killing them by any means.

I agree. Go hard on this point in practice, let him work on his ball security. Just keep him in, though. CT is one of the best back-up running backs in the league, but he's so great at catching the ball, that it'd be a shame to move him away from that now.

Especially with Favre using the RB in the passing game the way he does.

He swings the ball away from his body as part of his running motion, and now he is a marked man in the NFL for it. Either change his running motion or just live with the fumbles. Part of tackling AP from now on is going to include a huge swipe at the ball.

The fumbles might not hurt now but they will in the playoffs.

Put velcro on his arms.

But Mars is right. Sooner or later, one of his fumbles will cost the Vikings dearly.
Right now they are scoring enough to more then make up for it.

Yes, at the moment, Favre is great enough to overcome the weaknesses in the Minny running game. Hey, who woulda thought you would be thinking this a few months ago.

I wasn't.

The thing about MN is they might win the SB. Their D is "good enough," their DL is absolutely sick, their STs are hot, and they're scoring 33 points a game. Of the four elite teams right now (Indy, Saints, Pats, Vikings), they may be the most complete when it comes to the 3 stages of the game.

We still see if Mars is right. Turnovers often kill a Playoff team. AP better learn to hold on the ball.
