It looked as if both the Redskins and Buccaneers could of helped the Packers enormously today.. but they didn't. I guess you could easily expect a fourth quarter collapse from both teams.
Recap:
Atlanta Falcons [20] - Tampa Bay Buccaneers [17]
If it weren't for Chris Redman hitting Roddy White on a
fourth and goal play with under 30 seconds remaining, the playoff hopes of the Falcons would of probably been destroyed for this year. The Falcons now move to 6-5, pushing for one of two wild card placements.. Not good for us..
And dammit, the Packers are still the only team to lose to the 1-10 Buccaneers :(
Philadelphia Eagles [27] - Washington Redskins [24]
It looked like Washington was about to pull this one off, leading 21-16 at one point in the fourth; the Eagles winning today also hurt the us.. Philly is one of the teams in our invisible wild card division, that also consists of the Cowboys, Giants and Falcons (some could argue the 49ers).
I thought the Skins had this game.. but atleast LeSean McCoy got me some decent fantasy points..
On the positive, the Falcons and Eagles square off next week.. so one of the two teams will have to lose.
Let's just hope that 1) the Giants can't get out of that slump their riding.. 2) The Cowboys & Eagles keep losing, preferably the Eagles (assuming the Cowboys win the east) --even though I'd rather see Philly take it. 3) The Falcons don't do much more than what the Packers do for the rest of the season.
Today was frustrating, but no need to panic. The Packers control their own fate. Can't wait for next Monday against the Ravens.. I had to vent guys, thanks for reading. GO PACK GO!
