How does this sound?

Wildcard round:

#6 Philadelphia defeats #3 Dallas
#5 Green Bay defeats #4 Arizona

Divisional round:

#6 Philadelphia defeats #1 New Orleans
#5 Green Bay defeats #2 Minnesota

Conference Championship AT LAMBEAU.
#5 Green Bay defeats #6 Philadelphia.

I like it, but I got money on the Pack to win it all. Making it to the SB is nice but winning it is what matters.

So...

Who are we beating in the SB? :magnifyglass:

Back to our schedule, Pittsburg with or without Rottenburger is going to be tough in Pitts. They got a sick D, which was #1 in the NFL last year. Plus playing in Arizona will be tough.

It's going to be an exciting year.

The Packers have one big advantage....

They have a better QB than any of the teams they play from now until the end of the season.

The sleeper team to watch is Atlanta...5-5 with the next 3 games at home, with 4 of theri last 6 at home.

As you said Packers win out and they will be in, just looking at Eagle,Giants and Falcons remaining schedule, IMHO Packers can afford 1 more loss and still make it to the play-offs, 2 more and it could be an iffy situation.

Stats:
Week. . . . . .12. . . ..13. . . . .14. . . .15. . . .16. . . . . .17
Dallas (8-3) W........vs nyg...vs sd...@no....@was......vs phi

Eagles (6-4) vs was..@atl@...nyg.....vs sf....vs den.....@dal

Atlanta (5-5) vs TB....vs Phi....vs no...@nyj...vs buf.....@tb

I think 10-6 definitely gets us in. Eagles and Giants and Falcons beat up on eachother and ATL has to play N.O. As long as PHI and GB get 9 wins, maybe 10, they're in i think.

The Packers aren't playing perfect ball, they never have, but of all the teams listed, how many at this point in the season are playing better than The Packers?
We beat The Cowboys(who by the way we really have to root for now to knock off The Eagles and Giants).

The Giants are a mess right now.

The Eagles have been up and down.

The Falcons(as I posted earlier)is the team I most worry about, just because of their schedule.

Packers need to build on the success of the last 12 days, and make that play-off push that good teams do at this time of the year.

We Will see!!!

One at a time..Balt. a week from Monday!!! The games just keep getting bigger!!

The Falcons aren't as tough as I thought they would be this year, though. Ryan is having a bit of a sophomore slump, and Turner can't stay healthy.

I see them going 3-2 over the last five weeks. that gets them to 10-6 and into the playoffs. A big point will be whether those three wins come agains NFC teams...that will be the deciding factor.

I think at least we split the AFC teams, Ravens and Steelers. I am however thinking we can beat both of them. Right now, this minute, I'm more worried about beating the Ravens than the Steelers.

Predictions:
Dal 11-5 (L to SD/@NO)
Packers 9-7 (L to Bal/@Pit/@Ari, unless Ari resting players then 10-6)
Eagles 10-6 (L to Den/@Dal)
Giants 8-8 (L to @dal/phi/@min)
Atl 8-8 (L to Phi/NO/@NYJ)

Based on remaining schedule I'd expect us to make the playoffs. Travelling on the road to Dal, Minn, or Ari for the wildcard game I would not expect to make it past that first round, based on our current play (too many: penalties, special teams errors, inability to finish drives & settling for FGs).

edit: Based on the 1st half of the 49ers game, I'd expect us to win the superbowl... 🙂

What a difference a week makes. Now people are talking about running the table? That would put us at 12-4. Even in my wildest transports of preseason optimism, I never predicted better than 11-5, and I was pretty sure it would be 10-6, which is what I still think.

On the other hand, neither the Ravens nor the Steelers, whom almost everyone marked up as sure losses before the season (I had us splitting them) have looked all that intimidating this year, so anyone who says they can't see us beating them is off base, in my opinion.

It's not actually the quality or lack thereof of any of our opponents that concerns me. It's our team's own inconsistency and it's disconcerting tendency not to get beat but to beat itself.

Of course there are some downsides of the Packers making a playoff run. Everyone who has been clamoring for large-scale overhauls of the team will be largely disappointed, I'm guessing. I think the 2010 opening day Packers roster will look eerily similar to the 2009 opening day roster.

Well, I do think we'll make the Playoffs, beat our WC opponent, and eventually get blown out by either the Aints or the Queens. Realistically, I think we're a Playoff team but not quite elite just yet.
