Frost was horrible today. Barely averaging more than 30 yards is unacceptable.

I know why we dropped Jon Ryan, but I don't think he ever had that bad of a average or even a NET average.

Looks like Mike Stock should have chose a different Punter. But I dunno.

I just don't know

No arguments there. I totally agree, Frost made me cringe every time he kicked.

I miss you Jon. 😞

We gave up 178 yards on the ground and did not get a sack. Our D line sucked.

Iron Man, take away the 50 yard run at the end, and you've govt about 130 yards on 35 carries.

That's not great, but it's an improvement. It was good enough of an effort to not cost us the win.

Our Run D is clearly not great, and after last week I didn't expect a stellar performance. The big guys up front did improve enough to do a job good enough to give us a shot at the win.

IMO having asked anything more from them was too much, so maybe it's a matter of what we expected out of the d-line.

I'd say the number 1 problem with the D is tackling. They have struggled to tackle the first time around, too many broken tackles and gains.

Wow, dude, c'mon man. Take away this so you get this? Give me a break. It happened and it happened at back breaking time in the game too. Even as you say take that play away they were STILL converting third and SHORT with the RUN to continue drives. That is how a DL fails man. You need to force FOURTH downs, we didn't do that today.

Fact is, they gave up nearly 200 yards rushing. And in my opinion DL played like garbage.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

I think converting on 3rd and short falls more on the LBs (and once or twice on the S, I think it was Rouse) who couldn't get out of a crowd to tackle.

Once again, IMO the DL got a decent push, it's just that as a collective the other players didn't do as good a job as they should of.

I'm actually worried about Barnett, he hasn't looked anywhere near the play he looked last year.

I agree. I have little confidence in Ryan Grant any longer. Yes the offensive line was awful but they did open up some holes and Grant missed theme every time. I thought the commentator pointed that out nicely on a 3rd and 1. He hits that hole and he's gone for another 20 yards, but he ran right into the defender.

"porky88" wrote:

Speaking of Grant, I was wondering why we didn't see more of Jackson out there.

It seems during the first two weeks, when we've struggled on the ground, Jackson has been a nice change of pace and picked up good yardage. I would've expected to see more of Jackson in the second half, but perhaps McCarthy wanted to let Grant get as many reps as possible to feel his way back more quickly....

But that doesn't seem very McCarthyish, he's always been one to go for the win.

C'mon, you guys knew that the Packers would have some ups and downs this year...

But get get freakin' real....could be worse.....you could be Vikings fans right now.
You don't even want to compare issues in that regard.
My God....I'm one pissed off Viking fan tonight!

OK , you may now return to your discussion.......

I agree. I hope people won't panic because of this loss, although I must say for the most part on this site people are worried but not yet panicking that the apocalypse has come in Packerland, which is refreshing.

If we blow this badly against the Falcons next week, heck I'll be the captain of the panic boat. Until then, I don't want to get too down on the basis of this game.

There are causes for concern, but nothing that should cause anyone to worry about this team's place at the top of the NFC North.
