The Pro Bowl is a poisoned chalice for teams. All it does is trigger contract clauses and gets agents knocking on TTs door asking for improved contracts. It also makes players more expensive to retain when their contracts expire.
Andrew Brandt has said that the whispering of agents and other members of the entourage happens at the Pro Bowl.
Collins was a prime example last season. Who knows whether he would have been pissed at his 3m deal had he not made the PB but I suspect that didnt help.
As for Barnett it was good to see him giving McCarthy a game ball in the changing room after the Boys game. (See NFL.com/videos for the clip).

+1 for pointing out what I have pointed out but could not get anyone to agree with me regarding contracts.
-1 for not having my back in the threads that I had done so.
+1 for the Andrew Brandt reference, as I had forgotten to mention that, even though I read it as well.
-1 for the crappy example of Nick Collins. Not the example, but the reference to his compensation figure. The only pound Nick could figure out would be on a scale, not in his wallet. (This is intended as humor, btw)
+1 for the Barnett is the one that gave Mike McCarthy the game ball...Didn't know, don't really care, but I needed something to reference to get you to a net +1 (that's some more humor, but the +1 is real :thumbleft: )
