Being in playoff contention and making the playoffs are two distinctly different beasts.. this team better string a couple of weeks of play like last week before we start getting jacked up about the playoffs.

If everyone above us stays where they are in the standings, and we get the number 1 wild card spot, who do we play in the first round? I am a failure at paying attention to playoff mechanics.

We would play the number 4 seed; namely, the Cardinals.

Number 3 plays number 6.
Number 4 plays number 5.

Number 1 plays winner of 4 and 5.
Number 2 plays winner of 3 and 6.

If #3 beats #6, then the #1 seed plays the winner of 4 vs 5.
